I want to scrap all this and run a new power wire and new 12 volt constant.how can I do this?
reedal
Find a good ground. Run a 12v constant. Buy something like this for your accessory/ignition wire http://m.advanceautoparts.com/mt/shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/bussmann-atm-fuse-tap-10-amps-bp-hhh-rp/5080114-p?cm_mmc=PLA-_-Google-_-GPLA-_-5080114&ci_src=17588969&ci_sku=5080114&ci_gpa=pla&ci_kw=&iv_=__iv_p_1_a_214327102_g_12425515822_w_kwd-61865531738_h_9007525_ii__d_m_v__n_g_x_pla_y_6201684_f_online_o_5080114_z_US_i_en_j_61865531738_s__vi__&gclid=CJrX_7Tf3ccCFQ8YHwodteIDbA&un_jtt_v_cookiecheck=on&un_jtt_redirect=un_jtt_iosV#utm_source=pla&utm_medium=google&utm_campaign=gpla&utm_content=5080114 SMD Tool Map https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/193176-smd-tool-map-new-november-2014/ Build log https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/197217-reeds-03-tahoe-hat-sqaq-singer-xs-shca-cockbox-80prs/?page=

The battery or a fise?
reedal
The battery, with an in-line fuse. Whatever size fuse your head unit has on the back (I think they're usually 10A) buy an AGL fuse of the same size and a holder for it. They should have that at any auto parts store as well. White Lightning
With it being atleast an 80 model ... you should be able to trace back to the fuse panel, find the fused constant and the fused switched you need and rewire from there ... A wiring diagram for this car should still be found at your local parts store.
