Forevrbumpn Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 on that woofer, I would say how the cone is glued to the back piece, its a really gay design, Ive seen a few l5s and l7s with that issue, among the leads heat shrink slapping against the back side of the cone, wearing out the heat shrink, and causing the lead to slap way beyond what its supposed to Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

Boon Posted December 9, 2008 Report Posted December 9, 2008 Has the sub box been bumped, dropped or moved at all? Could have knocked one of the magnets out of alignment. But for the most part it sounds like the coil is misaligned in the gap, either by warping or because the spider has got messed up somehow. There's a slight possibility that there's something stuck in the gap too that is rubbing on one side. Quote 10.x volts fo' life!
