It's a little hard to understand what you're describing, plus it's 5AM. Could you draw us up a diagram with dimensions of the box and port?

I use this Selleys Durabond glue. I think it's a brand that's only sold in Australia. It's really messy but sticks like shit to a blanket.

I have this DeWalt jigsaw. I hate it for something that costs as much as it does I find it really over rated like most DeWalt products. Next time I'll buy Makita to match the rest of my tools.

Vids Of Clam Shells?
Charger replied to dbwesz's topic in Member Videos - Host 'em & Post 'em! System Vids / Off Topic
Here's the clamshell a friend and I made. Only one amp burp 153.5dB @ 34Hz or Bassrace 151 without trying. -

It's just like carpetting a sub box. I'm the best in my family at wrapping gifts lol. -
Anti Christmas Thread
Charger replied to Big P's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
So over Christmas! It's boiling hot right here in Perth, Australia and I'm bored as hell. We've got nests of snakes everywhere we've seen tonnes in the past three days. We're starting to build a pile of dead snake carcasses on the front lawn to fend off any more snakes. It's the ones you don't catch which are the scariest. I went to do some work on a box in the workshop and there was a snake hiding next to it so I can't even enjoy myself without fear of being killed by a deadly snake. Oh yeah and it's good to catch up with some of your family around this time I guess.. -
Here's the wall I did in my Volvo but never finished. Got 153.6dB @ 45Hz out of it on it's third ever burp. Only 4000w on tap too. Then I decided not to use this car anymore. The subs looked purty If you're going to build a wall, make sure you build it STRONG. The baffle was six layers thick.

What do you want? Meter loud or daily loud? Port driver's side works good for comps because you remove or tilt the seat out of the way so it's not obstructed. It reacts best with the meter on the windscreen I know from experience my Volvo was loud as FUCK when you sat on the passenger side, but on the driver's side it was quiet as hell. I see this as a bad idea for daily because the port gets blocked when you're driving with the seat in so not really good. For daily the port anywhere where it's unobstructed works well for daily, but be careful where you put it, it might meter terribly if you put it in the wrong spot.

Wow that song sounds like it wangs hard! Me likey

Having that extra 20% cone area does little when you have a sub with only like 12mm XMAX. The W7 runs rings around the L7 as far as usable throw goes.

No Screws?
Charger replied to stevh0's topic in General Audio - Can't find a category for your question? Ask here.
With a sub box the glue is what holds it together, not the screws. A lot of people make the mistake of putting 10000 screws in a box when the extra screws are unnecessary and may actually weaken the joint. -
W7 all the way. Kicker L7s aren't build as strong as a W7.
