  1. Cool video. We have a few guys over here using those same amps but rebadged under a different name to good success.
  2. I don't know why they rate them so conservitively, you could easily double their ratings without blinking or thinking twice about it. I ran a single DD Audio 9915 off a Z1a at 0.5ohm daily (5000wrms+) and it loved it! It had so much impact, the sub sounded angry like it wanted to punch somebody in the head! I actually preferred the woofer off 5ish than 2-3kwrms, it seemed alot more happy off tonnes of clean power than a clipped 3kwrms. Thanks to DD's freeflow cooling system it makes it very difficult to overheat the voice coils, which are almost indestructable. The motor has an air 'pump' built into it that sucks cool air around the coil and gap the more the coil strokes up and down, very cool. I'm evening running 2000wrms into each of my 3515s daily, I don't know what they're rated out but it's much less than that. I'd say give the 9500 series a chance, I think the biggest issue you'll find is folding the cone (not good) which is their weakest point, but you can always option it to composite cone for a little extra (tough as!).
  3. uhoh's box layout is a very good design. The way the woofers are laid out is much better than in your sketch. Port up is not something I'm a fan of, rear loading that port is the way to go. Look at Steve's box, his port can't be too far away from his rear hatch, only the depth of those batteries and look how great it works
  4. Lovely batts mate, I'd love to try Powermaster out some day. I remember bringing my batteries home in my daily driver, 690 pounds of batteries made it an instant lowrider
  5. Yeah mate I built that last year with a friend. The build up is on here too if you look under my previous topics Thanks for all the positive feedback, guys
  6. Thought I'd give this a try, it was far easier than I thought, could do it on half volume no probs Wanna try and get a better vid soon, apparently everything in the shop was shaking round hehe... name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="445" height="364"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="445" height="364"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="445" height="364"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="445" height="364"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"> Let me know what you think guys
  7. If I'm going to park one of my cars up for an extended period of time, I'll leave little, to no fuel in the tank. The first reason is there won't be a full tank of stale fuel sitting there next time I go to drive it and make the car run terrible. and if someone was to try to steal it (God forbid!) they're not going to get very far on 1/16th of a tank. Love the neatness on the Relays btw Steve
  8. The vid makes it a little uglier looking than it is. Still obviously not the greatest but pretty cool. Here's some pics: Thanks guys
  9. From Australia too. Not the loudest bass car but for full range it's like a full concert on wheels. The lyrics can be HEARD! Definitely lots of gear in it but it's quite old now, that was around 2004-2005, I'd build something else instead though!
  10. You're right, I didn't even realise. I'll have to try another video with Money Man Good spotting Here's another vid of a can trick, this time from the inside. Song is Webbie - Thuggin (I'm 100% on that one ) name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="349"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="349"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350">Or ofcourse you can click the link Thanks guys
  11. Had a go playin Gorilla Zoe - Money Man BAD ASS song with heaps and heaps of low low low bass Was surprised I actually got a little can trick going, not bad for only two amps and it still sounds clean as hell! I got more vids to upload still, let me know what you think! name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="349"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="349"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350">But the youtube compression wrecks it, so open it in a new window by this link And click 'Watch in high quality' to see it clearer Thanks!
  12. I still prefer pine 2x4 on the inside of the enclosure cut at angles. Very strong. But threaded rod still works good just get it to pull nice and square!
  13. Huge difference there Steve! Good to see you've thought about the safety aspect of things. That is a very heavy vehicle to pull up fast. But those brakes do a great job! Plus they look wicked!!
  14. Those be 2002-2003 model. I've owned one of each but not the newest one. They all still have bugger all thermal power handling but they seem to be making things stronger physically. I used to chew the crap out of the soft parts on my old ones, they were just weak. The newer ones seem more rugged. As for louder, probably not a huge deal.
  15. Can you get a screenshot of the error? If it's the same one I had, I emailed Wayne and he gave me a code that fixes it every time.
