  1. So you are planning on 6 12"s??? They will not hit at different times if they are all connected to the same signal. If you have airspace for 6 12"s sealed......why not consider going to 4 12"s ported?
  2. DAMN! Was wondering why there were no recent posts by Steve! GET WELL SOON! Yeah one of you locals better be taking him some REAL food as soon as he can have it. And bring him an ipod and some headphones to keep him from getting bored!
  3. Ain't it nice to work on a brand new car and be done in minutes. ...and the Lex is soooo clean, you didn't even get your hands dirty!
  4. Steve, guys on the Mazda forums all speak highly of the RM springs, they have very good progressive spring rates and most of them say they seem to look slightly lower height than rated. I hope you like them! The Lexus looks great!
  5. Nice amps! You gonna build something like the towers you did for Chickens house? The neighbors are gonna hate you!
  6. Damn Lex = so quiet and comfy, passengers can't stay awake! Looks like "y'all" had a great trip! (leave it up to Steve Meade to find db related stuff anywhere he goes!) Just noticed an ES350 in the parking lot at work today and realized that white <like yours> is a "pearl effect" color! .......NICE!
  7. Nothing wrong with them for daily use, you can still tune to your desired frequency. I am doing 8 of them in the PT, just waiting on them to ship out to me.
  8. Wellllll, I'm sure Antheny will trade ya, .......if you miss driving the Civic!
  9. I had 4 of mine in a sealed 5 cu ft box....until I saw this Steve Meade guy and the Hoopty! If you have room in the Ranger, port them and you will not be disappointed. I just temporarily covered/closed my ports for testing and they do sound good sealed, too!
  10. Thanks Trippi! ..somehow it doesn't seem so big compared to that beast you got going on in the H2, but I love it nonetheless!
  11. I vote for more HFI12D4's! I run 8 of them in my PT. Oh... and have you seen this? Big Al's 24 woofer install
  12. Three new vids, I have been having problems with one of my 4 channel amps that turned out to be a noise gate that I was trying to see if it would help with the slight noise floor that I was seeing from my Soundstream EQ, turned out the noise gate was faulty and the EQ was the source of the noise floor, so both were removed. The front doors are disconnected in these vids, I have another set of used panels to fiberglass some Peerless 3-ways into. New SMD decals from TechForce in the third vid. Enjoy!..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6hDtwjt2ug http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQtEjBEylOs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhBKIKAYkys
  13. Keep in mind that you get a higher crossover point when running 8-ohm components from a 4-ohm crossover.
  14. I'd say it's more than 'just ok', that's a damn nice car and the more you figure out all its features and its driving 'personality'- the more you will like it.
  15. Very nice and well deserved! I know you have some subtle and tasteful mods planned, can't wait to see what you do. Enjoy!
  16. Damn! NO update! Well I know we have all seen the Hoopty sitting in Steves new shop in his videos, so there is some hope right there!
  17. Yeah, you would have to parallel them to get them down to 4 ohms, or you can get 8-ohm passive crossovers. Keep in mind that running an 8ohm load on a 4 ohm crossovers raises/doubles the crossover point and cuts the wattage in half from the amp too.

  18. That's the calibration # of the mic. Each one comes with it's number on it.
  19. The car looks great, can't wait to see what you have planned for the wall.
  20. qbert: The Seleniums speakers in the rear hatch are on Audiopipe crossovers until I get some new ones from Parts Express. Inside the car on the sides of the wall the Seleniums there are on 2-way Parts Express crossovers. And all of them are on the high side of my main 63hz crossover point.
