OK, Im back....Well first off I would like to say that Donnie was not the installer, but he is the manager there...There is only one installer there...Anyways, he started by telling me it doesnt matter what size the ground is compared to the Positive, it all has to do with the amperage...and how 8 gauge can pull up to 60 amps... well my amp pulls 80 amps...OOOOOKayy...then he tells me that their shop is rated 7 in the nation for satisfaction and they win all these competitions for SQ...blah blah blah... Then I showed him the wire, and how he ran the ground so shitty...He then said oh, well Ill have to talk with him about that. Sometimes he gets in a rush and does that... Well what does that have to do with setting it up incorrectly... He also said that it all has to do with how much my sister paid to how big the wires are...BULLSHIT.... All he came up with is excuses...At least he was polite, and told me he is happy I came in and he'll give me a call tomorrow to tell me than things have been taken care of...By the end he understood where I was coming from and was very understanding... well thats all for now... Im a little more happy now...I doubt it will change the installers bad habits...

what power range are you looking for in an amp...nearly every amp out today is at least four ohm stable....

The reason for it is that 3 letter words will bring up a lot more unwanted results than something with four or more letters.... For example, your "Fi" search would yield results with FIxed, FIller, FInkster (me hehe), and so forth...In a perfect world the engine would match up the words exactly, but until then that is why i think it is setup like that...

so my sister came over today and she went to the store with my mom. She has my old system in her car, 1 12" L7 on a PG Octane R 15.0:1 amp. She took it to Myer Emco to install it, she said she didnt trust me to lol.... While she was gone, I decided to look over her amp settings to make sure they were legit....so I fold down the back seats and this is what I see.... and Im like WTF...Did they really use an 8 gage ground with a 4 gage power wire.... and sure enough... so I call her and ask what the name of the person who installed it, she said some dude named Donny, and how he does legit work and hes high up in the ranks there and i dont know what im talking about lol....then she bitched about how theres a small popping noise from the sub every time she turns the car on.... Well I guess so, i take out the ground and see... the ground wire was a foot over what its supposed to be, and here is how he sanded the ground...LOOKS LIKE SHIT...and the other side that goes into the amp looked like this... he bolted it in and squished the jacketing, not the copper, which was already too small of a wire in the first place.... So I fixed it for her, I just happened to have some 4 gage laying around (although the thread count was a little less but it will do for now. It just pisses me off that people are actually getting paid for this shit.... i got the number to the place and Im going to call them up tomorrow (closed on Sundays)....and bitch to this "Donny"...Matter of fact I live close enough ill drive there and show him the ground wire he used and fucked up. ANYBODY CLOSE TO FREDERICK, MD DONT GO TO MYER EMCO....I been in the shop once and actually thought it was nice, they got a nice JL and Monster display...o well, goes to show u stupid fucks can be anywhere. Anyways, all is well now and it sounds like it should... New ground spot...less than a foot from the amp... Much better
