  1. ok so thet are in faze then. is your amp 1 ohm stable?
  2. freezing my but off!!!

  3. They are wired in series down 2 one ohm. But for wiring the fuse box should i use the kind that is 2 fuses in one or should i just run 2 separate runs? what is the coil configuration on your subs? If you are at one ohm, is your amp one ohm stable? when your subs play, do they both play in the same direction?
  4. Right ^^^ just do a standard t-line. and a t-line for an 18 would be really big, but if you have the space for it... do it. As far as what would sound better? a t-line is very accurate and therefore I think the t-line would sound better.
  5. Actually, this is more of a tappered t-line. they are tunable, they are very accurate. and sound louder than they are on a meeter. They can be large yes, depending on the size woofer and the freq, used. as far as SmokedOut08Impala said, they do get down, howerver they are not dirty, (unless you don't clean your car like him) lol
  6. even a stock LS in the civic will be fun. I have a LS in my CRX, well its kinda next to it now do to the rebuild, but Do it. Hondas, can never have enough of 'em.... lol
  7. Use the Y spliter, then gain math with a DMM. Put in a disc that has a 50Hz tone. Set one amp to where it needs to be. Disconect the speaker wires and set the meter to AC put the DMM leads on the speaker terminals. Note the output, remove leads from that amp go to the second amp. While watching the meter ajust the gain until you reach the same level. Reconect the speaker leads. Done. Hope this helps.
  8. sweet. 38Hz T-line 2ohms 600 watts
  9. so this 8" in a t-line is a no no??? I know SmokedOut08Impala is looking for a new 8" to replace the SA8 he just got (and smoked). Or I am going to be doing a mustang soon and this would be great in t-line I think. let us know if it would work.
  10. where were you when I was in Ft. Myers looking for help before spring break nats.? My parents just bought a house there.

  11. I was thinking of trying to set up a little get together in Wisconsin for some of the SQ guys, or even anyone for that matter. Maybe do a BBQ or something. A little show and tell sort of. Maybee help some people in the area set there stuff up right or better. what do ya think?
  12. I had a guy tell me that if u wire two single 8 ohm drivers in parallel and put the pos to one coil and the neg that it will stay 8ohms. he calls it sieries paralell.
  13. two funky pup 10s will wang hard
  14. at a quick look at it, it looks like it would do fine, but ^ hes right about the sub displacment. the only thing that would concern me would be the end of the port inside the box. with it ending that way and not having an "L", you may get some port noise from turbulance.
  15. what.... where is this, what is this more info and pics please
  16. I don't really need that kind of excursion, I was just goofin on that, but A really beast sub. more than the 1508, more than the new SA8....
  17. I have plenty of space.... I just wanna do a beast 8" sub in this install I'm working on. also how do I edit the title to this thread?
  18. I have no idea wher to post this, hope this is the right place.... anyhow, I wanted to know if Rusty over at DC could build a custom 8" sub if I suplied the basket? somthing that could have a 2"-3" excursion, and handle 1100 watts RMS. RUSTY GET BACK AT ME ON THIS ONE.... PLEASE other than that what do yous guys think of that idea?
  19. thats the kind of thing I like to see. I hope I have the pleasure of meeting them in the future. I am looking into purchising thire product, and this is a good thing to see. thank you or that info
  20. I been kicken the idea around about the same thing, in a sense. I need to remove my kicks (q-forms), hushmat the inside of em cause i'm getting resonation bad, then add a litle polly fill to em. then I need to mat the metal in the kick its self. then with the midbass in the doors, i have the door dampened very well, but I was thinking... if i use the little foam basket pod things, and give em a coat of glass and a little hushmat, would that give me better response and deaper midbass? what do yous guys think.
  21. just perswaded(sp?) my buddy to do the SA8 in his ride instead of the 1508. maybe i shoulda stayed quiet and sold him my 1508 and got the SA8 myself.
