No, hook it up like you have it in the picture. The amp will be @ 1ohm and each ssd will recieve 700-800 watts which is perfect. You can't get a 2ohm load with two dual 1ohm subs on the amp, they would have to be dual 2ohm subs and that would be pointless in your situation

The kicker 2500 isn't stable @1ohm anyway. I would go with the mtx, it dishes out around 3500wrms. But either amp will suffice on that MT
