.5 ohms + .5 ohms = 1 ohm. I am trying to find a diagram that is a series parallel to do this. It is entirely possible with 2 amps strapped

The thing is, I have 2 subs and 2 amps. They are (2) Dual 1 ohm subwoofers with 2 amplifiers. I need to strap the amplifiers for a total load of 1 ohm meaning each would see .5 ohms

I am actually trying to get a final load of 1 ohm

I am trying to strap my two dual 1.0 ohm subs to 2 amps. I want each amp to see .5 ohms. Is there anyone that could possibly show me a diagram of how this should work? thanks

I had 4 15s and switched to 2 18s and I love it for a few reasons. 1) The bass isn't OVERKILL. 4 15s has a huge amount of bass even on low levels so you have to watch out if you like to play normal music sometimes. 2) The WOW factor of having 2 18s and beating people with 6 12s is just priceless. 3) 2 really good 18s will cost you less or near the same as 4 15s and go much louder with less power.

try wiring them again. I had a problem like this once because the wire was loose on one of the coils.

Well, I had 4 15s non walled in my SUV hitting 150 on the termlab. I now have 2 18s doing 153 walled on termlab. I would think you would get around 3db+ with a wall depending on how high you were already hitting.

Too bad it's ATi I do prefer as many monitors as possible though

honestly, I think 1 D3100 with that alternator would be fine.. The D3100 is a huge battery. The way I see it, just hook up your DMM and see what kind of voltage your getting at full volume. If it's going below like 12.6, then maybe you should go with a bigger alt and/or second bat. My friend runs a 3000d with a stock alternator and a yellow top battery with minimal voltage loss. (80 amps idle)

The biggest size I can fit in there is about 26" unlessI mount it to the back of the box, which I won't do.

I would but the size constraints prevent me from doing that. I can't go larger than 26" length and that Atomic 7k is 34"

Well the problem with another Atomic 5000.1 is the fact that I would have to run both amps at .5 ohms. There is no way my electrical can handle that so it would be either both amps at 2 ohms or both at .5 strapped. I am pretty sure I am going to go with 2 RD 3250s because the price is so good and I can run them easily at .5 ohms without voiding the warranty.
