  1. We ended up finishing the box and I was looking at it and the cargo area in his jeep and I decided to make a change. I decided it needed a little bit more than just the box in the back so we started building an amp rack/floor for the box to sit on. We started on it tonight and got quite a bit done on it. The hole in the floor is where the amp will sit with a piece of plexiglass on top of it to finish it off. Here's what we have so far.
  2. We haven't hooked it up to power yet, that's what I said when we built it that we should just poly it but he wanted it dark. Hopefully his amp comes in tomorrow so we can get it hooked up. I'm ready to hear how it sounds. Hooking it up to a R-500.1d.
  3. Just finished up a box for a buddy of mine for an sa-8. Thought it turned out pretty nice and figured I'd put it on here to see what everyone thought. Dimensions are 20x12x12 with a double baffled and flush mounted and the box is tuned to about 36Hz. I stained the box with some minwax poly shades and I really like how it ended up looking. <a href="http://s898.photobucket.com/user/ReconRider12/media/B35CB03B-34CB-4306-A557-BA544AF0FE8F.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac183/ReconRider12/B35CB03B-34CB-4306-A557-BA544AF0FE8F.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo B35CB03B-34CB-4306-A557-BA544AF0FE8F.jpg"></a> <a href="http://s898.photobucket.com/user/ReconRider12/media/2FE62DFC-0D1E-47DF-81F7-125AD38ABE72.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac183/ReconRider12/2FE62DFC-0D1E-47DF-81F7-125AD38ABE72.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 2FE62DFC-0D1E-47DF-81F7-125AD38ABE72.jpg"></a> <a href="http://s898.photobucket.com/user/ReconRider12/media/D5F45B55-B84F-4C9D-82DA-040001D70F0C.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac183/ReconRider12/D5F45B55-B84F-4C9D-82DA-040001D70F0C.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo D5F45B55-B84F-4C9D-82DA-040001D70F0C.jpg"></a> <a href="http://s898.photobucket.com/user/ReconRider12/media/6F5865D8-2193-4C94-9B88-C72C20B9672E.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac183/ReconRider12/6F5865D8-2193-4C94-9B88-C72C20B9672E.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 6F5865D8-2193-4C94-9B88-C72C20B9672E.jpg"></a>

SCV line starts at 2000 watt, 1500 is still an SAE, at the moment atleast.

  5. Yeah no kidding, just glad no one looked in my room and seen the $400 mech man alternator sitting in a box.
  6. Thanks, I just emailed them and told them about my problem. Hopefully they can get this fixed quick. It has been a long process getting a headunit and speakers for this thing, first ones got thrown away while spring cleaning. (Family lives by the motto if you don't know what's in the box you don't need it.) and now I bought a second one that doesn't work this time around.
  7. Ive been trying to contact them through the phone since Thursday and I haven't been able to get a hold of them, it's either not accepting calls or I get put on the waiting list and I haven't gotten a call back yet.
  8. I've been trying to get a hold of sonic electronics for multiple days now to exchange a faulty head unit. I'm not wanting to bash them because they've always treated me right on my other orders I am just wanting to try and get their attention so I can get this matter solved before the return date expires and more importantly get some tunes in the side by side. Hopefully someone from their company sees this, if you do see this could you please email me at [email protected], thanks everyone.
  9. nahh you run your main ground wire to the frame or the best ground you have...then everything else gets to share that grounding point. Same for the power side. That's what I thought. Looking forward to getting some of the smaller ones and your fuse blocks once I get my build going again.
  10. With this would we have to run a run of wire off this that grounds to the body or am I just not seeing where the bar grounds to the body, either way, they look sweet.
  11. Gotta wait another week to order my amp cause I dropped my phone, shit.

  12. I'm not sure, but could one of these be used like a distribution block if I flipped it around to where the aluminum strip was on the output side?
  13. My first amp was the r500x1d. I loved that amp and was what started me in this expensive hobby. I need more money if I'm gonna keep this hobby.
  14. I just had bad problems with fedex screwing me over when I had my new subs shipped by them. The first day they tried to deliver them, no one was home and they needed a signature, no big deal. The next day I was at the house in the front yard all day working on my truck waiting for them to show up. About 2:30 I looked at the tracking number to check that they had left and it said attempted delivery at 1:25 or something like that. I called them and they said they tried delivering them and no one was home even though I was there the entire time. Finally my dad picked them up later that week from the distributor, but then when I got them, the boxes were pretty mangled up, like bad, so I wouldn't be suprised if someone at fedex is at fault for this.
  15. If you can't find a good amp that runs at .5 ohms for that power, why don't you try two of the r-1200 amps, in pairs with both amps at 1 ohm. I really like mine and it's never got more than mildly warm on me and that was when it was under my seat with very airflow, it's a very solid amp.
