The alternator in your truck is a PCM controlled alternator, and any alternator not plugged into the PCM will at minimum turn on a dash light. I believe that there might be a tuner or two that are available that can turn the light off. Hope this helps. Chris well I don't really care about the dash light coming on. So does that mean I can't get a module that will change it? We have not done full in depth research of all the possible symptoms. Feed back that we have had is just the dash light. Different firmware versions could cause different issues, so I can not say 100%. Sorry man. Chris

Brian- There would have been instructions that came with the alternator, but in the end that wire just needs to be connected to a 12V switched source. Off with the key off, and on with the key on/ engine running. Let me know if this helps. Thanks, Chris

The build time is on average 1 month, but can take longer based on catalog build demand. These units are universal only and will require custom fabrication to be done by the customer. Does it have the blue box?

If the alternator is an OE alternator from GM yes it will work. If its a "factory replacement" like from a parts retailer it may or may not work
