  1. hes on A LOT of random mixtapes i come into possession of, and alot of the stuff is pretty good bricks remix with gucci slams make da trap say ay is sick too, its like my song of the week ay ay ay okay
  2. some manufacturers are using it now, kicker obviously, but every now and then i see someone elses box with some stuffing essentially it slows the speed of sound, making the sub act like it was in a bigger box, since the energy takes a longer time to flow through. in a small sealed box this can flatten the curve, and make it seem like a bigger box in ported, like it was said before, it flattens the response...bu lowering peaks and essentially dropping tuning (the same way a bigger box with the same port would) my last enclosure I built and loaded and tried it out for a few weeks, On a whim I stuffed it with some polyfill and it did make a very noticable difference, it sounded much smoother, and went lower, and peaked lower from what i could tell. but it was noticably quieter...like a few db, it was significant, slower air=less air moved=less sound if you want sq its worth ATLEAST TRYING for the 3 dollars you'd spend on polyfill, for spl its pretty useless
  3. rca's are necessary, but you dont need like super high end ones 90 amp draw means you can squeak by with GOOD 4g (rockford/monster/knu) or shitty 2 or 0 g(pyle/power acoustic/tsunami/installation bay) save up a little cash and do it right the first time, even if it means you have to wait a whole week extra to get your paycheck and spend the extra 20 dollars to do it right. This wire will be carrying more current than a lot of houses even use, it's something you want done right.
  4. thats a good amp, there is no reason to change it out, unless you're looking for more power
  5. some little kids are def scarred for life now, lol
  6. next semester i have to get rid of friday classes....or atleast schedule them later 9 am classes 5 days a week and then 8am labs on wednesdays...this is the worse semester <<<jealous
  7. just sayin, if you're scrounging around to get the 400 bux for 4 itty bitty amps, and then spending 1600$+ for subs, and then god knows what for wood/resin/batts/cables/etc for the 3 grand he'd spend doing these btls and having them be very disappointing, why not do 2 ssd's right for the same price?
  8. you plan on running them on less than 1/4 rms? maybe with 4 of those you could almost power one btl... why not run like 2 q's or ssd's off of those 4 amps? otherwise save up for the legit 8kw you should have, having the woofer with no power to push it is a complete waste, its like constantly being stuck on 1/4 volume, 500 watts wont even make a btl move
  9. sometimes when the alectrical cant keep up, stuff like the coils and fuelpump cant get the current they need and let the engine die, if you're seeing like big bounuces, like 1000rpm or more, thats what it is and its bad battery and alt are needed...that batt will only help for the first few minutes before the system drains it and the alt cant recharge it if its just like 100rpm or something, its just a little engine having trouble with an alt
  10. clipping is just bad....how bad depends and ALOT of cds are clipped to shit
  11. i built fiberglass pods and such for my rears and took it all out cuz I really couldnt tell the difference whether they were on or off....it was just a waste of space and an amp at that point i vote take em out and let that pressure out, unless you are always driving people around in the backseat and care about them hearing the music.
  12. we got a like mylar helium baloon that was basically a 3ft long shiny dick and tied it to this kids car, so it was under his car and once he drove away it blew out behind him and followed him home he ended up getting pulled over by the cops and ticketed, but it was funny nonethheless
  13. www.yellowpages.com if you dont want us to do it and dont want to do it yourself, start calling around
  14. LOL "chacaron chacaron chachaaaoaoooaoaoooowwwowooaoaoaahahahahahhahahahahahssshahahaoaoaoaoa chacaronchacaron" thats great and decent looking girls dancing like its serious
  15. take a pic and if its too loud, its probably the "input sensitivity" aka, the gain knob if its what i think...: set the low pass approx 80-90hz dbo is tied too boost, if boost is 0, dbo is zero...so it doesnt matter too much, i'd leave it somewhere like 45ish hz turn your gain all the way to the "12v" side, or whatever side is highest(almost always to the left, its the quiet side), put your deck up as loud as your interiors can handle (if they're on an amp, do the same thing with the gain pinned to the highest number and turn the deck up to like 90% its output, mine goes to 61, i tuned it at 54) with the deck up that high, slowly turn the knob up until you feel like it's about to clip, play a loud song as reference, something like "bubble up" by gucci mane, or "show stoppers" by danity kane or "hypnotize" by jeezy....loud, constant bass with varied notes again, you're trying to turn it up to a point where you can audibly hear it clip, and then back off like 1/8th turn or so this is like the most basic way of tuning it, its not guaranteeing an unclipped signal or whatever, but if you have a decent ear you should be fine and dont be suprised if it ends up really low, mine is barely 1/4 the way up with this h/u, with my old alpine it had to be like 7/8ths the way up cuz the output voltage was so low
  16. thanks, but that doesnt have my car 95 avalons are like an enigma of the car world, no wiring kits are available, speakers dont fit in stock locations without a gap or cutting, and replacement parts are next to friggin impossible to find
  17. tweeters dont usually stink like a sub or mid would, they just stop im assuming you used the included crossovers, in which case you can really feed them mids, since the crossover will filter it out what you can do is push the amp a bit too hard and cause it to clip, this sounds like crackling, think of that sound you heard on old records. The other way i've described it is "popcorn in your tweeter" it may not be your fault, it could just be badly compressed or low quality music, something like that new Kanye cd is clipped to fuck and will def damage tweeters tweeters are pretty sensitive to clipped/screwed up signals.
  18. hope you dot play it when you have someone in the back, subs+rubbing into a seat=bad
  19. i agree about the bandpass thing, i dont like the sound of it (although some people on here may love it) personally i felt the same way and did the subs in the parcel shelf, still a work in progress though, imo what i did or something similar (like a sealed box in the parcel shelf, ported box subs/port up, or like i did, subs up and port forward) is a nice way to go bot SQ and SPL wise, since the pressure goes to sound in the cabin, not jiggling my trunk lid around feel free to check my build for an idea or two, and i think KaponeSS did something similar in an impala
  20. oh shit! does that come with a cookie or a medal or something!? http://www.shopmaninc.com/carbonpage.html only place i found really...i bet theres somewhere local you can get it but idk honestly
  21. best place to go bogging on long island is like school fields...there's some random school my buddy with a silly stickshift ranger, and my durango slid around for like 45 mins, my truck was brown straight through, and the entire gap between wheels and fender was packed with grass then some dumb bitch scratched "WASH ME" into my hood like 2 feet across took an hour and change with a powerwasher to get it alll out, like a full two wheelbarrows woorth of mud and grass in the fenders/bumpers/chassis/roofrack/ everywhere
  22. i know, im full of em glass has its advantages, and then to just cover it in cf to get the sick (and legit real) CF look, best of both worlds
  23. if youre mostly doing it for the looks, do fiberglass and then smooth it down and then resin a layer of CF over that, doing pure CF is extremely difficult, overlaying one layer ontop of fiberglass, not so bad
  24. i had the same thing shortly followed by an utter lack of balance, like roll out of bed one morning, and fall flat on the floor, i couldnt even walk without holding on to stuff basically was an ear infection and like wax and dumb shit...you'll be fine bro, worse case scenario you'll be like my dad and get your ear full of warm water and then get it vacuumed out...
  25. 250 2 strokes are alot of bike to handle if youre not too experienced id say the 125 or a 250ish 4-stroke, im a big fan of the relliability/no mixing/low torque of 4 strokes
