  1. sounds alot like me... join team second skin
  2. but if hes doing it to quite the rattling due to the sub wouldn't more be necessary? Ive always sorta wondered that.
  3. alpha damp maybe maybe not but i would also assume it will be gone by srping as well damp pro shouldnt have a problem making that deadline thou. I've had very good luck with second skin and speedy shipping. the only time i've seen people complain is around national holidays and such (some people are retarded)
  4. FYI its much cheaper to get a bulk pack vs 3 door packs and you only loose out on 2.5 sq ft for almost $25 less. You may also want to look into just the 20sq ft of alpha damp or even better 40sq. Lastly id pick up a sheet of overkill and put it anywhere the plastic is going to touch the metal double layer on the clips as well
  5. I'm working on that right now. Why don't you enter Jacob? nah i couldn't make the comp requirement otherwise i would... lol and i wouldnt buy anything either just do it to do it u know. Like you said before idk where else i can shove anything
  6. check and apply is really the best method. BUT if you will be going crazy with the system later on that will change things. so keep that in mind
  7. [quote name= Gem132' timestamp='1312114443' post='1630333] Looks real good, got a question though, how does one pack of this do a whole car ? depends on the definition of does a whole car. if 40sqft of alpha damp is as effective as 80sqft of damp pro and 80 sq ft "damnpens" the car then 40sqft thats installed properly will dampen the car. but there's no exact amount of how much deadens a car because every car is different. and with the smaller amount you have to be smarter with the product... you have to apply it throughout the vehicle. if you over dampen the trunk and floor and have none left for the doors then yes your car wont be fully "dampened"
  8. run heatwave pro and motormat pro on the roof.... that plus a full coverage of the damp and u will be chillin
  9. 450 sq ft? if you need that much then your doing an insane system well over the price of that
  10. if you have the space for it i would go with something like heatwave or heatwave pro over the overkill. its a much better choice in your application
  11. i would try all mediums to be honest. i frequent my ipod, usb and cd/dvd so i would try them all.
  12. its one of the newest. i was actually pretty surprised to see the MMP held up with the damp pro. idk if you can tell but that piece in the pic sags. that was the piece i was having problems getting to stick (i don't recommend trying to install any non cld products on your roof in 106 weather) and the adhesive isn't doing shit but the Damp pro has held it up for at least a year. hopefully the added rca weight doesnt cause a problem but im not too worried about it
  13. i have 2 layers of damp pro on my roof and its holding up. i even have damp pro holding up 6 rca runs on my roof and motormat pro. idk how weight even comes into play when ur just putting on the product but if regular damp pro can hold up that shit then im sure alpha damp can hold up... alpha damp
  14. spectrum on the underside damp pro or alpha on the inside with a top layer of LLP and possible overkill/overkill pro in between if you can fit it
  15. Is this for personal use or are you trafficking? Are you talking about Streetwires ZeroNoise NoiseKiller stuff? I should have some of that in hand by the end of the week. Been meaning to get some for a while, just been lazy. tell me what you think when you do get it. we got a sample kit at the shop and it looks like good stuff. not worth converting from second skin but still good product
  16. lol i bought the isaca sq cd, either from them at ces or maybe direct idk but i have it.... still in the wrapper ive never opened it. and out of the 3 usaci sq disks i have ive heavily used one and not touched the other 2 if i ever get to the "finished" completely part of my build id probably read this and a few other articles i have and put those cds to use. until then my ghetto tuning is as good as its gonna get
  17. who are you looking to pm? second skin rep jon is the go to guy for any questions but second skin rep would be ken and sue the owners BUT if you want to get a hold of them you should call not pm
  18. dude hear me out before you reply again I have a home in New Hampshire also I ship to US Virgin Islands on a regular not British Virgin Islands and I have no problems none I dont fill out no customs or any other none sense I go in with package and pay same fees or slightly little more as if i were shipping it to florida or texas this is what I know but when its Fedex and UPS then those customs forms and so gets incorporated. I just saying other subs amps or any other item its samething just misunderstood because we over the water you know but its cool I just saying again a delivery confirmation number eliminates all this un needed drama i agree 100% but just saying give them a lil slack. ive was lucky enough to only have to ship internationally maybe maybe once a week and ill be hoenst ive lost that lil bullshit green slip before even thou i was the only one doing it and it wasnt that frequent or high volume. add those into the mix and ya i can understand where something can get lost. its still shitty that it happened but im just saying ive been in that exact same position before and well it is what it is sometimes. but at the end of the day everyone i shipped to would get it eventually and once they did ... my worst pet peve was repacking a shipment again. most times i wouldnt have to but the box was beat up enough i didnt want to risk it
  19. bingo knew it. ive shipped to the islands before and really alot of inernational places... it hosnestly is a much bigger pain in the ass much more expensive ect ect. I feel why you would say that and shit i might in your position too but as a sellers stand point even without nicks post if it was usps then i totally understand. the con of UPS internationally is they bend you over and rape you on the price. but well lets be real im sure everyone out there is willing to spend easily double on shipping for a "smoother" process right?
  20. question... how was it shipped ups or usps?
  21. lol that's funny but i cant honestly say im surprised... chode is chode
