yeah thats the only thing i can think of, i mean, its way more brutal than my other box. I honestly am almost positive i went from the 46's to upper 49's. The woofers barely move but my voltage just drops so stupidly low. Both subs are at .7 ohms... suppose to be 1 but i dont think that makes a difference? what size alt should i go with, like i said all i have is an HC2000 in the rear, stock everything. 0 gauge with big three

so i had bcpballer design me a new enclosure and for the first time ever i used aero ports (im extremely pleased). Its a little smaller than my previous box, and tuned at 33hz... 5hz lower than my other box. Im running 2 15" LVL4's and about 2500wrms to the pair I only have a kinetic hc2000 in the rear, and stock batt up front/stock alt. big 3 yada yada Onto the question.... I never would dip past 12.4 with my previous set up even at idle, but just cruising down the street i hit freakin 9 volts, and my amp shut off. It seems only on real low notes it drops bad, and i obviously dont want to ruin my amps. Why is it dropping so much lower because of a new box and what should be sufficient enough for rougly 3000wrms with the highs and sub amps. I was thinking either replace the stock battery with a kinetic or D31, or do a 250 or so H/O alt.... Really dont have the money to do both. Thanks for the time guys.

i doubled up mdf and put a rubber washer on the backside of each screw. no problems yet.

my max dimensions are 23 deep 44wide and 27 tall.. which puts me around 13 cubes before all displacement. Looks like i will have to stick to 15's... now the question is DC vs. AQ

wouldnt it be a better idea to spend a 350 on 2 more sdc's? and just steal my brothers T10001bd... So for under 500 i could build a new box, run 4 15's... again, and 2 T10001bd's. Its hard for me to sell my sdc's and buy two HDC15's when i have already had the 18's... i definitely dont want to be more quiet.

Stock RWD run 13.8..... they arent fast, but for a 4700lb suv i can beat an older mustang gt any day of the week.

do you have a trailblazer SS? My roof already sounds like its going to fall apart. I need to dynomat it or second skin, but its going to be a giant PITA to take the headliner down. My mirror already broke so i just dont care anymore. lol.

no i havent, i am tuned at 32hz... which is low for these woofers... but Cnate, when he had a tbss, told me the cabin peaks at 32. IDK i guess i wanted it to just be brutal on the lows. But at this point i wouldnt mind going back up into the upper 30's for some better numbers. maybe walled? I did contemplate walling again but i dont want to build inside my truck. Its just too nice of a truck in my eyes to tear apart. its no benz or hummer, but shit, its brand new... and ive been through this before yeah, haha. This past weekend i went to a car show and team DOA was there, along with many other cars/trucks doing mid to upper 150's. After selling my walled of rado with 4 15's and buying a trailblazer ss i downgraded to just 1 t10001bd and 2 sdc 2.5's. Ive heard many set ups with the same power that were just brutal. Long story short, aside from the alt and batts i have about $1200 to work with which i know isn't alot when tryn to get loud. I PMed DC and got prices on a pair of 15" lvl 4's, and was thinking about running another T10001 and doing 2 15's or 18's in my trailblazer. My goal is to be around 147ish in the mid 30hz range. My question is should i stick with 2 15's since i just made a new box, do 18's or maybe add another 2 sdc's? Only problem is space. I realize i could get many different responses, but being new to an SUV, i really dont know what route to go. I do know that i dont want to run over 3kwrms. I just finished my temp set up, but i cant stand not having a bigger set up and its time to go louder. this is what im working with so far i did wrap it in vinly since my friends decided to draw all over it Anyway, does anyone have any advice with my set up? I listen to rap, and by that i mean decaf took over my ipod. Thanks for ur time guys
