  1. I sold a pair of subs to him and he paid as soon as his pm was answered. I would do business with him anytime. He is a nice guy and doesn't mess around when it comes to buying equiptment. Thanks Dan!
  2. Thanks boss for all the great car audio components that you design and produce for us. We're lucky to have such a dedicated person who enjoy's all this stuff as much as us. I think that's part of the reason why your stuff is overbuilt and works so well for daily or spl. It's basshead equiptment made for bassheads by a sound quality guy (I had to say something about it ) Thanks Jake, and I guess thanks to Brandon too even though he does nothing at all except take up space and give you shit all day long. Is there any room left for me on your nuts? J/k the wife read this and was the first comment that she made, lol. Keep the good work up!
  3. A pair of them strapped at .5 ohms on my Nightshade 15 for spl right now as well as them strapped at 1 ohm on my dual 15 box for daily. Needless to say it wangs hard
  4. You'll be fine if you tune to 36hz. Just because the forum boner is to tune your box to 32hz doesn't mean that's what you need to do too. I have 2 Nightshade 15's in my daily setup in 7.2 cubes with 6 4" precision ports that tune the box to 37hz. Now that I've added a pair of 3500d's over a pair of 2000d's I don't know the actual score that they will do no music, but with the 2000's they would do a 152 on music. They would still touch 150's on music at 30hz too. The thing is that I only have 75sqin of port though and it does help that they are flared ports. I would go with the 7 cubes that you are wanting to and do some flared ports instead of a slot port. In that box you could do anywhere from 5-6 4" ports and it would slam. I can tell you from experience with the box similar to that it will get loud. I have no doubt what so ever that I can do a 151 on music with a single 3500 because I could do it before with a pair of 1500d's and a clamped 3400 watts.
  5. Nice find. Too bad I just bought 20 of the Stinger one's for the same exact fucking price. Why can't I find deals like this when I'm trying to buy something? I think that the Stinger one's might be a little better though.
  6. Hell I still opened my 360 up and looked at the issue but couldn't get it to work even trying the video tricks. I called microsoft and told them and they sent me a lable to send it back to them. They still fixed it for free and I got it back and haven't had an issue since, knock on wood.
  7. Okay I will have a 100ft roll of Tsunami 0/1 that will be here in a few days. It is silver in color and has 4200 strands of oxygen free copper. It's not flex gel wire but is still flexible and easy to work with. It's the same wire that Scottie Johnson was selling on here not too awful long ago that he used. There was a special online and I decided to buy 100ft that I'll probably only use 30-40ft of at most. Pm me if you want a price on some shipped, include your zip.
  8. I wanted to say Suck Penis Loser, but wasn't going to be a dick. Not trying to be just thought it would be funny
  9. Where do you live? I build very nice boxes if you want and are close. If you aren't close then you could try Fisher Customs. Also there is a guy here on the forum named Pioneer Saturn that will build and ship to you if you want. His boxes are amazing and work very well. I don't completely hate probox and if it's your only option then I'd say its an okay one. I happen to have quite a bit of experience with Type R 12's and did a 148 with a pair off around 2K watts. If you want a design and can find someone else to build it for you let me know.
  10. Would you trade a pair for a pair of brand new still in the box Clarion single 4 ohm 10's? I would be willing to do straight up since a pair of the 10's I have probably cost a little more than a pair of the 6.5's.
  11. Well with 2 saz2000's and 2 XS Power D3100's, an Iraggi 260 amp alt, and a Deka G34 I don't drop below 13 volts full tilt. If it does drop below that it's for a split second it never sits there, it will always jump right back up to the high 13's and 14's after it drops low. You will require at least an additional battery in the vehicle no more than 18" away from the amp to make sure it stays happy but that's about it. I've ran a pair of them off a stock alt for quite a while and had no trouble at all.
  12. I have a 100ft spool of some flex wire that is 5200 strands that will be here by Friday. It doesn't have a name brand on it which is just fine with me and is the red translucent gel like you see with the Stinger, Rockford, or Knu wire. I can do a solid piece as long as you want and would probably do it for $70+shipping and if you wanted 30ft I would do it for $85+shipping. That comes out to be $2.80 a foot and is cheaper than any wire that you'll find out there that is over 5000 strands and very flexible.
  13. I bet Danny's sad that the box is much louder in your Expo then his Kia. I hope he gets that thing loud soon. He is so enthusastic about it and he deserves being loud. Looks good though and is there anyway you can play the 3500 at .25 ohms on music? That would be sweet for you to do to run in the featherweight class. Allthough I'm sure it's not going to be much more power than .5 ohms.
  14. Also to give you a little info that I know of about the saz2000's. I've never run one at 1.5 but I have run them at .5 ohms. The most power I have seen at .5 ohms nominal and the impedence rising to 1.5 ohms the amps will make right around 2400 watts. So if you can keep your rise down you could easily make around 2K out of it with the nominal load at 1.5 ohms. More than likely you'll see almost double of the impedence that you start with so 3 ohms or so and the amp will still do a solid 1800+ there with no issues. If you have a stout electrical for it 2K shouldn't be an issue.
  15. I'm in Greensboro North Carolina. I'm not sure where your at but just estimating that shipping will be around $30-$40 the amp I'm not going to even make as much as the guy on Craigslist at all.
  16. Wow that box did turn out nice. I plan on taking a look at these when I go to visit Jake on Friday. I may end up replacing my 2 NS 15's in my daily setup with a pair of these and running a single NS V2 for burps. I guess it all depends on if Jake will let me throw one in the burp box and see how they react. If it does well I may just run one of these for burps until the V2 NS comes out and then buy another to run for daily. Anyway the box is great and the subs look like they are killing it in the video. Is that box that they're in one of the one's that you built for Danny's Kia?
  17. For the hatch and doors I'd say that you'd probably need at least a bulk pack. That is 37sqft but you may end up needing more in the long run. I just placed an order with Ant for a trunk pack and 80 spl tiles. I plan on doing my doors, hatch floor, and hatch. I already have 20sqft as it is and will be doing a bit more when it's all said and done.
  18. Why wouldn't he just buy mine for $520 shipped? He would then have to trust you to go out and talk to some guy from CL. To me that doesn't sound like that good of an idea, letting someone else have $500+ of my money and then have them ship me something when I could just buy it straight from the source for cheaper. Because I don't care where you are it will be more than $20 to ship him that amp. It costs more than $20 for me to ship one to Sundown and they are only an hour away from me, so my amp is cheaper and more than likely in better condition. To the op just remember if you want it the clock is counting down soon. I must have a payment on the amp no later than Thursday of next week if it is going to be sold. Otherwise you can contact Jacob at Sundown about buying it from him, but more than likely it will be more expensive from him.
  19. I have one for $520 shipped if your interested. I will be trading it in next Friday though so it's pretty much a week out. I actually have two of them. Let me know but come next Friday they'll be gone.
  20. I guess it's a bit hard for me to think that if you have the ability to do something with equiptment then why not do it. As far as it being too much power for the subs yes I guess so but I overpower every single speaker in my car. It all goes with the common sense issue. I'm going to give the guy the benefit of the doubt since he doesn't seem like he's got no sense at all. If he were making a thread that said will this be louder than that then I'd say just go to Walmart and buy your setup. He asked a well educated question and I gave him my HONEST opinion on what I would do if it were me. I would run either a saz3500d at .5 ohms or a pair of saz2000d's at .5 ohms each weather the woofer was a 600 watt sub or not. For example I am going Friday to get a pair of 3500's for my car and planning on trading in my pair of 2000's for them. Guess what I'm going to use them to power. A SINGLE Nightshade with dual 1 ohm coils. Can you guess how I'm gonna do it? I'm gonna strap the pair at .5 ohms so each amp see's .25 ohms. So that's going to be around 8K watts on a sub that has a rms of around 2K watts. This is what I would do, so like I said my honest opinion is what I gave him as long as he's responsible with it. I do want to note that I will not be playing music with the amps strapped at .5 ohms. However for daily I will be using a pair of Nightshades wired down to .5 ohms on each sub so they should be seeing around 3500 watts on music a piece. No big deal :D :D :D :D :D
  21. Get them into trouble. Have you ever owned a Sundown saz amp? If not then I don't expect you to know how hard they are to break when you have some common sense while using it. I'm only suggesting something that the owner of the company does all the time. Jacob runs his amps even lower for burps at .25 ohms. Almost every member on Team Sundown runs their saz amps at .5 ohms for daily or burping. There are hundreds of people that do it. The thing that gets them into trouble is not having a stout enough electrical to support the amp. I have honestly never had an issue myself and I ran a pair of saz1500's at .5 ohms each off 1 battery and a stock alt not too long ago. The protection circuit is there for a reason and it works. I honestly don't know how some of the fools out there hurt these amps :01nocomment8so:
  22. Are you honestly serious? Not to mention that if he were to purchase used Sundown amps from a private owner there is no waranty with the amp. So....... The saz line of amps are pretty much bullet proof anyway. I'm not going to say do it or not but let's just throw it out there in either situation. He has the option of 2 ohm or 4 ohm subs. Option 1, 4 dual 4 ohm subs at 1 ohm (not voiding waranty if purchased new cause Iso's being a baby about it) the best configuration here would be the pair of saz2000d's that I suggested. Each coil would be run in parallel and each set of subs in parallel to give you 1 ohm at each amp, thus providing a solid 1000 watts of power to each sub Option 2, 4 dual 2 ohm subs at 1 ohm This would give you the option of wiring each sub to 1 ohm. Then could wire each set of subs to 2 ohms and then the two sets parallel down to 1 ohm for the saz3500d. This would be less power and I still say run that bitch at .5 if you have at least 3 group 31 batteries. Now on to the efficiency remark. Again I will say are you serious? Have you ever even measured efficiency of an amp to begin with, do you even know how to? No because it doesn't matter at all as long as it puts out power.
  23. Get yourself a Sundown saz3500d for those subs. I would then run the 4 dual 1's so you could wire each coil in series to get 4 2 ohm subs, then wire all 4 subs together in parallel to get a final impedence of .5 ohms. That is where that amp will do some serious power, probably right around 1K per sub at max power. That should work nicely and if you want to get crazy you could try a saz4500d but that would be over your budget of $1,000. Or if you want amps right now I'll sell you a pair of Sundown saz2000d's that are in very nice condition. They are rated at 2000 watts at 1 ohm and can be run down to .5 ohms as well. If you wanted to you could run the dual 2's still to get .5 ohms per amp and do a nice 1200 watts per sub that way. If your interested I'd do the pair of them shipped to you for $1050. Let me know cause I'm supposed to be trading them into Sundown on a pair of saz3500's next Friday. Edit: Woops, I didn't see that the sub wasn't offered in dual 1's like I suggested to run for a saz3500d. Instead you could just run the dual 4's to do the same thing. Except you would have to wire all the coils in parallel to 2 ohms per sub. Then wire each set of subs together to get 1 ohm, and then wire each set that are at 1 ohm together to get to .5 ohms. The suggestion for the dual 2's and a pair of saz2000d's is still right though.
