I pulled my system out the other day and a put it in a Jeep.Cherokee The jeep was 4 db's quieter. Nothing scientific just I was pulling it anyway and we thought we would try if for fun. The reason for yanking it is going to experiment with walling it off and 2 15's. Starting with 5k watts then going to nump it up to 10k this summer.

If you use those you need to make sure they are really really tight. If not they can pivot in the wire holes and arc out on each other if your pos/negs are fairly close together. I found that out the hard way.

Pretty much the same as I was thinking. I think that would work out nice for you in a good enclosure.

Where do you live? There may be a box builder within driving distance. I'm batting about a .333 with pre-fabs. I had one that was tuned to 40 and it really got loud, Sounded decent if just a tad "peaky" and never fell apart or anything. The other two not so hot. One was a single 15 and my Diamond audio tdx blew it apart with 2000 watts. The other a bandpass, Got loud but sounded like azz doing it and started to leak after a bit.

Doesn't matter who owns what. They are as different as a Ford is to a Honda. Tear them apart, They are completely different style machines. As stated previously I was a repairman for many years. I've had more machines tore down than I care to remember. Whirlpool and Kenmores are not rebadged Maytags.

As an ex appliance repairman I always thought the Maytags were more hype than anything special. Give me a good old Kenmore or Whirlpool for the money anyday.

I've always wondered how they scam you if some one is coming over to pick it up and pay for it on those scams. Seems they don't want the item they want your information for Identity theft iirc.

I've had this problem and it was my jumper wire loose that was going from one coil to the other on my sub.

Yea, tons better for everyone smokers and non smokers alike. You can get good starter kits for 40-50 bucks on line. The Dse 901 is what I got. To bad the Tobacco industry has bought lobbyists so our worthless government is about to ban them as every one makes more money if we smokers keep on cigarettes. The pharmaceutical companys, the government in taxes, and the tobacco companies of course.

Probably a repost but the search didn't show anything here so... Just curious if any smokers have tried the electronic cigarettes out yet? I got mine about a week ago and am loving it. No smoke, no tar, no $50 a carton. It's only cost me about 3 or 4 bucks in flavored liquid since I got it. Plus since there is no smoke or smell my wife and kids don't get any second hand smoke. Or any of the 4000 chemicals in regular cigs. I've only had about 6 regular cigs all week since I got it due to batterys not being charged. Not bad considering I am a pack and a half a day smoker. After 35 years I can finally see myself quitting the cancer cigs as it is a lot easier to quit with these e-cigs.

Well now I feel bad and am a bit jealous.

Kenwood is no old school Zapco but it isn't as bad as people make it out to be imho. it's not as bad as Pyramid or Pyle. It was my first amp. Came with a car I bought. It was an 1800 watt also but the older model. It was good enough to take first in 0-600 stock Usaci in region 8. In the trunk with 2 12's in a pre-fab. It's the amp I learned on so naturally I thought full bass boost and full gain was the way to go. lasted a long time till I sold it to a guy that used speaker wires for power wire.

My last car was a trunk car, Ford Contour wih 2 12's. That car was quite a bit louder subs and port forward on the meter. Ear to for that matter.

That is easy to teach actually. They have a clear catbox you set on a toilet. After they use it awhile you take it away and they still go up and do their business. Getting them to flush is another thing

Most people who see my system know I compete alot so they already know the answer as to why I do it. The kind of people who find it disturbing are going to find fault with something no matter what. If they couldn't complain about stereos the would complain about motorcycles. Before I ever got into systems I heard people thumping down our busy road all the time. It never dawned on me to whine and snivel about it. It is no different than a loud exhaust, Harley, Plane etc. 99.9% of the time people hear a system for just a second or two and it is down the road, Yet they write letters to the editor claiming it is affecting theor health. That is why I don't worry to much about disturbing people. The ones it bothers are normally bitter asses that just worry about what others are doing all the time.

My amps have a gain knob instead of bass boost. I would think that wouldn't affect you negatively like bass boost would it?

I think I'm going to punch myself in the face. I would have got that if I hadn't bought a new H/U yesterday. I've been wanting one for quite awhile. Missed it by one day...
