  1. It is my understanding from my older amps that it was due to the heat not properly rising to the heat sink and instead stays at the board. It could very well not be as big of an issue for newer amps, but I would check with your amps manufacturer. Some of them have gotten a lot better.
  2. Depending on the amp some of them do not disipate heat well that way. But otherwise it is definitely easy enough to do as long as you ensure your mounting it securely!
  3. 600a4 has been sold. Chrome 250.2 still up for grabs.
  4. Hmmm...I will have to check into it and see if it is the same. I know world of wheels here in St. Paul is next weekend. I have a bunch of buddies in the local Rollerz Only chapter that head out to the Chi for the world of wheels event out there.
  5. I actually have my undergraduate degree in culinary arts. So if there is something in particular you want info on let me know. Otherwise...are you a fan of grilling, or just looking for simple oven cooked recipes?
  6. Sundown's 8 looks pretty mean!
  7. Canon EOS Rebel line is a great starter DSLR. Otherwise Nikon is pretty comparable, but I personally have just found my canon to be more user friendly. Get yourself a nice lens filter, and down the line a decent flash and go from there!
  8. Location:Minnesota Price: Chrome 250.2 I am asking $250 plus shipping, and the 600a4 I am asking $200 plus shipping Pics: Specs: 600a4 Has been painted black with some silver leafing that was done, but never fiinished pinstripping it, easily scuffed and repainted whatever color you would like. Purchased chrome end caps for it 75 x 4 @ 4 ohms 150 x 4 @ 2 ohms....as I am sure most of you already know greatly underrated! 250.2 dual power and ground inputs Punch status display capabilities 125 x 2 @ 4 ohms 250 x 2 @ 2 ohms....and just the like 600a4 greatly underrated. Chrome is in good condition, but could use a polish. I have perfect feedback on ebay as well as layitlow if you would like to check it out prior to purchasing. If you have any questions let me know.
  9. If you go that route there is a TON of extra bracing that needs to be done to ensure the body of the car doesn't bend and tweak. It is usually pretty easy to tell a converted car if you look at the door seems becuase they are never straight. Always a bigger gap at the top or bottom of the door seem. Wouldn't hurt to do extra support bracing on the frame if you go that route either.
  10. They are either 38" or 42". If you are able to find the old school lincoln with the 44's you can get good money for those. Otherwise mid 70's Lincolns also had an option of either gold or rose colored ones...those pull a premium as well, but are hard as hell to find.
  11. Make your life much easier and try to find one that is for your model car. Otherwise if need by early 90's Lincoln Town car ones are fairly universal. I believe they are the 90-93 towncars or something like that.
  12. Here is an example of one that was just cut to size....then it needs to be flanged and all that good jazz. If you cut the skin of the roof around that whole part and then just tack it in it will make your application a grip easier!
  13. You can't just take the moon/sun roof and the frame from it....cut around (about 4-6") on the moon/sun roof or the skin of the roof. By doing this it is easier to tack weld into place instead of trying to cut and slide the frame for the sun/moon roof in. (If that makes sense.) I can try to get some pics if you want.
  14. They are fairly easy to install. You just have to be able to weld sheet metal pretty good and measure a grip to ensure it is square. Also having a TON of clamps at your disposal is very crucial! You also have to ensure when you cut out the t tops or sunroof that you take the skin of the roof and not just the frame.
  15. Always nice when your warranties are actually used and they don't BS their way around not having to honor them!
  16. I usually fly about 3 or 4 times a month for work on those crappy air busses and I hate it! They shake like crazy and I always seem to get to sit next to the person slamming the cheap ass wine they offer. I hate heights, and even more hate the feeling of not being in control of the situation. Fortunately if your flying them your in control...so I would think that would be a little easier instead of being at the mercy of others. Especially when my luck is also getting the pilot that seems to like turning turbulance into a game and seeing how much of it we can hit!
  17. Those air busses get tossed around by a strong breeze! I hate flying on them when I travel for work, but I am sure it isn't quite as noticable when your flying in the lap of luxury reclining and sipping on some bubbly!
  18. I don't believe the xtreme grilles will fit on standard blazers...but the s10 grill will.
