Want to see something really interesting, test the current from the multiple positive runs. The current does not come across on all of the runs. There will in almost all cases be one run carrying the current. Electricity takes the path of least resistance. Having one run a 1/4 inch longer than the rest will result in a higher impedence and the current will flow the shorter run. You can test your grounds too and see that in most cases, the chassis ground is going to carry the current. As mentioned above, the ground runs will work for solving a ground issue where you have noise by helping to eliminate it. I want to say, doing multiple positive runs is a good idea, because you get multiple paths for the current to take and I also like the idea of multiple ground runs...in case. I was just stating that they usually are not needed.

I use deck screws usually.

There is really no need for ground runs.

I wire which ever way I think to do it first.

I recommend using threaded rod. NAPA Auto Parts or your local auto parts store should carry it in varying sizes and lengths. Hardware stores would as well. Just be sure to get enough nuts/washers to do both sides of the panels.

What section? I am very interested in that!

I was looking myself and that was really about all I could find. I am going to build my own bracket for my 94 S10 Blazer. Doesn't look like it would be all that difficult so that may be the best option for you as well?

http://www.nationsautoelectric.com/dualalternator.html Really pricey there. Comes with an alternator but I do not see the brackets separate, they do have wires/harnesses though at the bottom. Says for '99 and up, but it looks like it could be made to work with any year for the most part as long as you have room.

You will need to brace the port pretty good if you do the build this way. That is a long stretch of port along the back side. Also, the smaller port area will result in port noise. Now, how much port noise vs what size port I could not really tell you.

That is a lot of work! I am working on my first pods right now! Will be painting and mounting them tomorrow! A lot of time and labor involved in doing ones that I will be screwing onto my door panel. Molded would be a lot more work and I think that groundpounder2k2 charging $1000 sounds like a deal.

I do a lot of pond fishing here in Iowa for Bass. Love catfishing the rivers for Channel Cat! Actually went fishing earlier today! Nothing biting but I did put back a few beers. -

T/s Parameters For Soundstream 18" Xxx?
cunokyle replied to cunokyle's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
Hmm...well that kinda sucks. Oh well. Guess I will have to wait until I get my hands on a couple to get the specs. -
A plugged fuel filter could put quite a strain on the pump...possibly causing the fuse to blow. As far as it doing it when it gets warm....most likely just a coincidence. I would start with a fuel filter and see if that solves the problem. Also, not like the relay because when a relay goes bad, it usually just quits working.

T/s Parameters For Soundstream 18" Xxx?

I was under the impression they were out. Maybe they are not released as of yet. A buddy told me the other day he had seen one. Maybe he was feeding me a line?
