  1. why not wire it in pairs ? you could still fade if you wire the front 2 pairs to the front two mids in the door. and then make the rear mid of the front door and the back seat mid a pair. that amp would be happy and each mid would see more clean power. unless you were going to use auto time delay corection of some kind like imprint.
  2. thanks i got my d3100 in a few days ago. 12.84 volts right out of the box. i got one of the new style d3100s with the built in handle. cool stuff , i like the new handle . looks like a higher discharge rate and almost the same ah. nice
  3. cool i got a d3100 on this deal . what a price ... now my entire electrical system is mechman. alt,d3400 and now d3100
  4. do you have d3100's in stock ? if so how much $ total for 1 with this deal ? happy black friday
  5. unheard of. i didn't think this was bad to post. it shows how some companies deal with problems. and in matts case he is above and beond , so i don't think it offended him. now some other companies would be fuming and want this deleated. this is the type of stuff that made me choose to buy from matt. and i like most others couldn't be happier. now like bangin said he was heated when he started this so he could have worded this better. but we have all been there...
  6. this is not right. a d5100 should be able to power that system alone with truck off for a good awhile. what does your voltage look like at batt before you start to wang ?
  7. the pully that came on mine was much smaller than stock. i'm lucky when my truck holds 500 rpm so smaller pully made a huge difference. also to combat belt slipage i went to a gator belt right from autozone and it did the trick<only like $8 more>
  8. wouldn't volt x amps = watts work in all cases regardless of ohms of coarse with rms dmm's
  9. i would try to run just the d3100. un hook the diehards if you are running at 14.8v, then your resting volts should be higher13.5-13.8 on the d3100. you should check each connection front to back, solder if possible. i am going to presume that you have the big three done from when you put in your alt. bigger pully on an irragi alt doesn't sound right, don't they have a hard time at idle already, bigger pully would make it turn even slower. <i don't own one or know anything about irragi> and like was already said by someone else go wang on it and check volt drop at amp them at d3100 then at front batts the diehards then at alt terminal and post back. and is this drop happening at will with hard wanging or only over long periods of hard wanging ? and do you ever dive without wide open wanging to recharge? and when you drop to 11 volts how long will it take to recover ? enough questions good luck, you will get it
  10. well is anyone saying that it so bad that if you were say at the other side of the shopping mall inside a building full of electronics and stuff and walls that this alarm is NOT likely to work reliably ??? just tryingto gauge worst case are we talking 100 ft ---100yards----1/4mi talking proper install, city type interferance, dinner out, movies, shopping, work ??? thanks for your opinions.
  11. how far are you getting real world ??? i ask because this is the alarm i want for my explorer. at work i am about 1/4 mi away. i never figured that it would work at 1 mi but had hoped for 1/2 mi.
  12. you don't have to drill holes in floor if you flip up the back seats there is a set of rubber grommets the size of your fist right by the frame nice and clean
  13. thanks, I'm glad I asked.I put it in last night, it ran good. 14.79v so far i have not had a chance to load test it as it was late. I'll give it a day or two to charge the batt then see what i have for volts. so far I'm very happy, thanks
  14. mine came today. very nice. just to be sure, the rhino can run with or without the plug in correct ? plug out should be about 15v ? plug in should be about 14v ? or am i confused ?
  15. I'm hopeing today is the day for delivery.could I bug you for the tracking # ? should i call you for it ?
  16. my 3400 from mechman has been nothing but great.i got the i-bars to go with it ,and really think it was worth it.
  17. mine is on order cant wait thanks for the help matt
  18. I need one for a 2000 explorer xlt 4.0l v6 do i need to know anything else befor getting ahold of you ? all i got was your machine when i called I'll try again later.
  19. the more you add of any size mixed and matched will help. if you are worried unhook all batts from all wires and come back next day and check all batts seperatly for voltage. if they are close your fine. hook it all back up and wang
