Actually the drill got stuck open (It has one of those hold switches) and it took out the first big chunk of surround. The other holes are from me relieving steam with a screw driver followed by a plugging it into a wall socket.

Hey Im gonna run 1 bl 15s at 2ohms on my 3000d. Can some one real quick just recommend a good tuning frequency for 8 second burps. The box will be 3 cubic foot with 3 4inch pvc ports. I was guessing around 43-45hz.

Fyi. mdf goes great with a router. Very dense and tightly packed wood. There for the rounded corners come out gorgous and smooth. No flaking or fraying like with other woods.

I second this guy ^^^^^. Go to lowes and have them cut it all. But do hover over and double measure everything. Make sure they use the panel saw and Im sure if you gave the dude a few extra bucks he wouldnt mind letting you check everything before he cuts. Trust me if your inexperience on a saw then its worth the bit off money to pay soem one to do the cuts for you to save you the hassle. And also. WTF do you see mdf as being week and soft. Maybe particle board but mdf is one tuff peice of fucin wood for that price. Cuts easy and smooth. Just watch your corners. Iv actually worked on a box while its sprinkling and after the wood is coated in rain drops I just wipe it off as if the wood was never even wet.

Actually they charge .50 a cut but you could atleat have them chop it down to the lengths you need to make it easier to handle. I kinda lucked out and started helping the guy workin there put away a bunch of wood some one else left out and he cut all my shit to length for free for me.

Hey man. I did this one in about 3days straight with nothing but a table saw, router, and a drill. If I can do this in my garage you can do the same. Just take your time and ask if you have any questions. Lots of guys on the forum here will help out with no problem.

I had one of those cheap bandpass boxes for my 2 cvrs and it didnt sound too bad at all. Not extremely loud or anything but hit a nice range of notes. I d say for a temp box it would be ok. I suggest you take the other route and buy some mdf, glue, and silicone and ust make your own. Iv done 3 boxes out of my garage and all have came out pretty well. Just get a buddy to help with cuts and you should be fine. Trust me the performance wil be 10x better than that bandpass on craigslist if you do it even slightly right.

I too live on commercially zoned property even though there are houses on it. Luckily I have no immediate neighbors and the ones down the road play there shit as loud as me. As far as I know here in Fl. if its private property, not in a deed restricted area, and there isnt a noise violation there isn't a damn thing they could do except ask you to turn it down to keep the peace. I hate to say it but a pressure washer, air compressor, even a leaf blower are just as loud as a system so why should you have to turn your shit down.
