  12. Death Match is a 5 minute long average. Highest SPL at the end of 5 minutes wins. Depending on who is running it, they may do Bass Race style with music only. or the dB Drag style with a constant tone for 5 minutes. This is the original style Some judges may only do 3 minutes but thats not the real way.
  13. depends on who is running it, and if its dB or Bass race or something else.
  14. yeah, magnet size means nothing for quality.
  15. yes, it goes for speakers too. It goes for any electrical load. like motors, resistors, light bulbs. its a basic rule of electricity.
  16. most amps work best in about 65F. so if they go too low it wont be a good thing.
  17. parallel is + to + and - to - of both speakers. This will lower the ohm load. in the case of 2) 4 ohm loads, it will half it. here is a formula (R1 x R2) / (R1 + R2) = final ohm load Now you can also do a series circuit. this is + of one sub to the amp, - of the other sub to the amp, then connect the remaining + and - together. This will result in the impedance being added together so in the case of 2) 4 ohm loads you have 8 ohms.
  18. I love pushing things beyond their limits, hahaha well the best setups in the older scions tended to be subs and ports firing up in the rear cargo area. Just in a basic rectangular box with a flared round port. 2) 12s with the port in between the subs, common chamber. The loudest I have seen was just barely over 150 dB with about 10kw. If the new XB interior is similar, it may work.
  19. I know of 2 people that have done 08 scions and many that have done the older scions. Unfortunately for the new scions the only 2 I know have done walls. Are you doing a wall? If not, their data will not help at all.
  20. in your vehicle the best setup would be subs up, ports back. 2nd best is subs up, ports up. 3rd best is subs back, ports back. Dont fire the subs forward. also, I usually use 8 awg wire for subs, but you dont have much power so you can get away with 12 awg. and what ohm are the subs and how many coils per sub?

  22. Just looked at the new dB Drag Class matrix. You cannot compete in Street tock with an 18" So you will be in Street Max
  23. at finals top Street Stock B scores were in the 147s. With 1 18" you can certainly beat that with the right box.
