  3. Good shit got my friends ordered on time, so next week sometime?
  4. Do you turn your ignition on to turn the amp on? If your amp isnt on it wont work. Try this make sure everything is in the right place, turn on the car, and it should come up and then turn the car off and it should turn off. If not just wire it to the front or if you have it the rear batt.
  5. If your doing what you say with everything plugged into the amp it should work, but if its not turning off its the remote turn on lead. So if you could just re-do that wire, from the head unit splice the wire from the headunit and dont plug it into the amp.
  6. I had the same problem with it not turning off, but thats just because your remote turn on isnt working properly. So the volt meter just gets a constant 12 volt and doesnt turn on and off with the ignition. It should work if you have it wired into the amps turn on (how mine is), but i would try to splice the actual turn on wire from the head unit and split it to the amp and meter. See if that works. Also you said you dont have the cap in, so does that mean your amp isnt plugged in an running? If so then the volt meter is getting power, but its not grounded so it wouldnt be working right. Here is what i did, i ran an 18 guage speaker wire to my front battery and put the start up wire into the amp. But it depends on what voltage you want to read, i just wanted to see my Voltage loss.
  7. If if it bigger than the wire you have right now than it wont hurt to run it to the trunk. As for the big 3 theres a thread stickied up here that really helps.
  8. Looks really good man and i love the fact that you take so many pictures, even of the little stuff. Makes us Picture Whores happy so keep them coming. Car looks mint even with 100k+ miles.
  9. If you could get good enough grades to get on the deans list, then there will be scholarships requested for you without you having to do anything, thats what happened to my bro, on the deans list got 5k last semester alone and this is at a community college. If you work hard at something itll pay off Gl with it mayne
  10. What finishes? I am thinking about getting these and i am just wondering if they'll be ok going through snow? http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/findWheel...d=15&rw=6.5
  11. Box is just amazing, perfectly executed. I wish i had that craftsmenship, but grats on the 150 maybe ill be able to join you one day
  12. idk i dont really wantto though the batt position is the most important and what this "rack" is going to be built around i have all my grounds long enough )but not too long) to reach there, same with power. I will prob put the batt on the left side of the box in its own little holder sort of like my friend Slapuhhos. Which i built, but ill be using a brad nailer this time so no splitting.
  13. pretty much Ray said. LMK what you think
  14. Got a new idea ill try to draw it out quick
  15. Thats what i thought but i have a vertical peice and that would only work for a horizontal piece or top plate, but i just dont have enough space. Cuz then i might as well use a 45 degree angle.
  16. My design pretty much wont allow me to do that, my dad has been a woodworker for about 20 years and ill ask him, but i need to attach the sides while inside the car so i can run my wires to the amps. and so ill be able to screw the back of the rack into the back of my box. Ill have a build log if im not explaining it right.
  17. Yeah just the tip of it so it make it a 60 degree angle
  18. I need to get a 60 degree angle. This is what it should look like What the amps are on, I need at 60 degrees. My saw goes to 45, so idk how im going to accomplish this. Any ideas?
  19. Did you research car audio installing at all before this or did you soak up the info they were telling you like a sponge? Sounds like they learned how to install from the back of a cereal box. Even on the wiring that you have it sound have a picture of a battery NOT AN ALT or are pictures too hard for your friends to understand?
