Anyone wanna trade me a sub compact version of the XD40 for my full size? Mine is like new and is in excellent shape. I will also trade mag for mag. Has to be local, prefer VA but the surrounding states is fine with me as long as your local government doesn't mind.

Its pretty good but if you have the money just get the TL. I have the SPL meter and its pretty acurate. I have found that its biggest flaws is how fast it reads. Its slow. Side by side with a TL the TL is much fast to register a score. That being said unless the note is held long enough then the SPL will not read dead on with the TL 100% of the time. I did a few tests, some vehicles it was off by .1 every time. Others it would be off by up to .5 one run... then .1 for the next run. Just depends on whats playing really. I like it most for the portability. I got the hand held version. I have some vids on my Youtube, just look up my screen name.

Nice. Isnt the dual setup on these cars...a fake? I mean only one side actually functions. Thats a pretty nice increase for just exhaust work.

I am in now way worried that these will not perform. So many people had great luck with Iraggi....the lack of CS is what sucks teh balls. I am worried about this damn rectifier thing tho. I mean the guy who is working on my shit knows alts some what but he dont know jack shit about HO alts. I dont want him replacing my rectifier with some POS that's gonna cause the alt to not do what it should. Me and him went back and forth last night and this morning about the fact that there is such a thing as a 300a. he meant he was gonna tell me my alts are only 130a. He worked for an alt/starte shop for 15 years so I know he knows what he is doing. I just want the right parts put back in.

No...even better, Iraggi. My main concern right now is that I am being told the rectifier is only good for 145a. Again I dont know jack about alts so I dont know what this means.

So the guy thats checking my alt out said he has to put a new rectifier on. He said the stud is not replaceable. Now that being said this is a "300A" alt and i am being told that the rectifier that is on the alt now is a 145 A rectifier. They will put a new one on but will not warranty it since the alt is "300A". He is charging me $85 to do the work....what do you guys think about this? I dont know shit about alts really.

Naw it ain't like that. I got an amazing deal on some Alts. He offered to take care of it even if that meant taking the alt back...I would rather just fix it locally. I ain't mad, shit happens. I actually have it at a shop now that said he should be able to fix it. Well see.

I got an alt in the mail and during shipping I guess it got hit pretty hard. Hard enough to break the stud that you mount the power wire to right off. No it wasnt insured. Any ideas on if this can be fixed? Maybe have a stud welded on?

Ray i just ran thru the whole build log..didnt see any pics of the alt setup. Either way I guess I will just have to go for it. If anyone can, I would love a good pic of the install from the side instead of the front.

Im sure it wont be that difficult either I just wanna get the best idea of installation before I take my shit apart you know. Seems a one pc design like Tj made would be ideal but what the hell. A side from weight, is there any reason this cant be assembled then dropped in?

Thanks guys. One question. The kit comes with 8 bearings to keep the tension. I noticed in all the pics I have seen of this kit installed there is like a big steel pc that goes on the outside of the bearing when installed I dont seem to have those. Yanked this from Caco. If you look at the bracket that is between the two pcs of paper where you can see the edges of the bearings. To the right side, the side that would face the front of the vehicle, it looks like there is something in front of the bearings. That's what I am talking about. This is gonna be such a pain in the ass, lol

I was hoping maybe you had the original install instructions...this thing had like 100 pcs. Do you still have your kit? I think I might be missing some things if your up to sell the kit, depending on price I may take it just to have. Also do you know the length of the belt you used?
