If you feel like payin for a design and endin your headache hit me up, lol. I still say 10 cubes is WAY TOO MUCH for that sub on that power. Youre gunna kill it on 4k in that big of a box. When you run over rated power you wanna run a smaller box.

on that kinda power i dont think youre gunna wanna go much over 5-6 cubes. How big of a roundover are you making? for a flared port just measure from where the flare starts (where it starts getting bigger as you flare it).

if i ran a horn id just get a 1500 from sundown if i ran 3 of them. And i wouldnt be constantly givin them the full 1k. Id probably give them about 700 daily. So maybe an AQ2200D for the amp. And matt, YES WE DO!!!

How much do they handle? Ive looked into them but cant find that. I know there are people out there runnin 1k on the DDs, is this possible on the soundsplinters?

Umm...t-lines dont have volumes. There is no chamber really, its one long continuous port. You need alot more info than that to do a good design. What about the Qes Qms and Qts. Those can make or break a t-line from my understanding.

Ive thought about contacting someone about custom making some 8's but i dont even have a clue how much it would run and if its gunna be way more than i can spend i dont wanna have them waste their time crunching numbers to give me a price.

Well im lookin at 8s, i wanna run 800-1k on each. Thinking 2 or 3 of them and 2-3kw. Ive seen that it can be done on the DD1508 and the Sundown E8. Not asking for comparisons of the 2, and I do not wanna turn this into a this vs that thread either. I simply wanted to know what people thought about these woofers (prefer hands on experience with them but dont mind findin out how you thought they sounded either). Also does anyone know if either of these would do well in a horn enclosure?

To the best of my understanding ( i know a good bit but im still learning) aero ports are more efficient. Because of that you need less port area.

it could be done, but with the heigh restriction and not having a visual of how the box will fit in there, this was the best i could do. If i had the car in front of me to measure from im sure i couldda squeezed some more outta it. But he would probably have to go taller still id imagine. Whats the exterior dimmensions of ur box?

well, anyone know where to get a H.O. Alt for a 2008+ lancer with the 2.0L?

So im thinking of my next system. So far im thinking 3 DD1508s or 2 AQ HDC310s off about 3kw. What all am i going to need electrical wise? I know a guy who had 4 AQ3500Ds off a stock 90A alt and a shitton of batteries. (well, im 99% sure he was running stock alt). So if i get enough battery to back up the current draw, would that be enough or would i need an alt? I havent had much luck finding an alt for my car. 2010 Lancer. Not many H.O. Alts out there for it. So assuming i can get away with no HO alt. What would i need in the battery dept. And what would i need for batts with an alt even? Also. For running a 2nd battery, do you just have a run from the front to the back batt, then to the dist blocks and ground the back batt in the back where you ground the amps? Thats the way ive been thinking itd be done, just thought id make sure. (didnt mention fusing, but im assuming you gotta fuse from the front batt to the back batt yes? and also from the back batt to dist block)
