when i switched from the mx18 to the 4xl18 i gained over 3 db at a higher ohm load on the 4xl not saying the mx was bad but in my application the dc was just better.

man i know 4 15s would be more cone area but i still would do 2 dc level 5 18s more options with the box and port plus i just like 18s.

that's weird my buddy went from 2 audioque 15s to 1 level 5 15 and that 1 sub is way louder what are the specs on your box.also he was using the ones below the hdc3s

ok so everybody i talked 2 said do not use the aeroports in my situation so now i am going to try a 4th order bandpass because they said what i would gain in sub displacement i would loose in port area and cancellation because of phasing.

So which would be better the 2 6 inch or the 6 4inch aeroports and how long should which ever option be I am sorry about all the questions but in all the years I have been competing I have always used slotports and I have no idea about aeroports but I do not have room for a slot port and I thought I would try these worst comes to worst I can always put my old box back in if the aeroport thing does not work out also do any of you have experience going from slot to aeroports and if so did you see a gain thanks.

No I wish I could but this is going in the caddy and has to be subs and port forward so each corner will get 1 port and top and bottom between subs will get 1 port and I will be using 6000 for daily and 13000 for burps.

Ok so I am starting on my new box for 2 18s and need some help it will be around 8 cubic ft. After displacements and I need to know if 2 6in or 6 4in aeroports which would be better and how long would each port need to be to tune to 45 hertz.

No it was not me you talked 2 I run powerbass amps I have however burped a level5 18 with 14000 watts several times like 20 to30 times with no problems and with 25000 watts 1 time with no problem except the car dying when I did it but the sub took it for a burp .

3 to 7000 watts depends on box I would think so but maybe I would go a littlt smaller but I am no good with bandpasses Hard to say I have done a 155.2 but that was with a 18 4 to5 days to ship and usually 1 to 2 days to make

alot depends on the box but if the box is right i would say 4 to 5000 watts of unclipped power daily but 3000 would work really good 2.

daily or burps if you are talking burps i honestly do not know so far i have tried up to 24000 watts and still working.

gain to high or possibly bad ground on the rcas you could try grounging the rcas and see if it goes away.

i would do a powerbass 5000 for both here is the problem they are dual .7 which is one .7 ohm load for the 2 of them or .35 or 1.4 a piece which is why i am suggesting 1 big amp for daily.
