well first off... welcome to the forum... do some research theres TONS of info on this site.. now to your question... whats your budget? what kind of headunit are you using? and more importantly who set up your system for you? jus wana find out if your planing to replace anything. im guessing you are running your mids off your headunit. and as far as who installed your system. shops sometimes "take shortcuts" when doing installs.. which can cause MAJOR problems... so if i were you... double check everything...

i agree with those who recommnd Toshiba... Im using a x205 series.. its like going on 6 years old i think... good gaming machine... out of date by todays standards but im still using it for gaming... i live outside the US and i order laptops for my friends here... all kinds of brands... HP, Acer, Dell, Gateway, Toshiba, Lenovo, Compaq, Sony Viao and Asus. Toshiba laptops never gave me any kind of issue... Had major problems with Acer, Compaq, HP and Lenovo... problems range from unexpected hard drive failures. RAM Failing. MotherBoard not responding. Batteries not charging... ect ect... what ive learnd is that those companys get cheap parts that have a high failure rate... my oppinion... Toshiba #1... best value for your money... Sony's are only good if you get the high end models ($1000+) ive also had good experience with dell and gateway...

i say get a good amp... go for the 1500... i have that on a pair of sa12s for my brother...and its killer... if your gna be running 3... why not go for a 2500

KIS (keep it simple/stock) if the paint is still good... keep it... fix the engine first before putting audio in there.. u want your car running smoothly before doing anything like that... ill hv to agree that this car isnt fast but hey.. if your into car audio... u cant expect ur car to be fast... edit: spelling

err... i dont know how that would affect anything really... whats his basis for the gain? im guessing hes making the arugment that the front battery is being charged/maintained better cuz its closer to the alt... but the battery in the back is being charged as well... so idk lets wait for some others to reply...

hell yeah it is ROFLMAO... and when the box blows up.. your running IB... anyways... i had sonys as my 1st subs too... dont underestaimate them... put them in a poperly designed/built encolosure and they could get loud...

bandpass is nice... if you get the math right... more output with less power... downside... generally bandpass boxes are large... if this will be your first built box... ill recommnd to just build a regular ported box... the port area of your prefab box is soo small... if you like low bass.. tune to 30hz... personally thats too low for me... 34 to 36hz is a nice freq to tune at... search for Torres box calculator... that will help you with calculations...
