I have been wondering for a while if the dust cap effects the way the sub performs/sounds. For example I have seen some 12's where the dust cap is basically the whole cone and there is maybe a quarter inch of actual cone. Or inverted like some of the new T3 line? Or say you take and recone a Fi and use an inverted dust cap would it sound different?

just some more ideas. have one of each amp showing so we can see the LED's in sync yano? like at least one bass amp to get the LED of the bass one mids and one highs just like on the T15k's each channel corresponds to the sounds I don't doubt whats going to come of the new tahoe

I don't think he is talking about sound of the sub he is talking about quality and if the sub will handle what you end up throwing at it those types of things.

the imprint module I am talking about you plug it in set all your stuff and then unplug it and your Alpine headunit is good to go. from what I am presuming you want that in one headunit and not deal with all the hookups and everything else so I'm looking at the Alpine stuff. on mine which was around $150 brand new I can control the high pass filter and what frequency the highs should be focused on with an adjustable bandwidth and same with the bass. I am going to get the Alpine RUX-701 soon so I can have complete control.

are you deadset on a pioneer? you could get a lower end Alpine like the one I have (CDA-9884) and get the Imprint module for time correction, EQ's, and crossovers for around the same. you might pay just a little more but everything will be new. and you also get the iPod interface

I see now reading > me I thought you were trying to get an audio signal out of the usb to an RCA. you are going to be limited by the video RCA though pretty bad quality. video RCA < s-video < VGA < XVGA < DVI < and I think HDMI tops them all video RCA is for SD tv's but I don't think it should be that bad on a 6-7" head unit screen. how many pixels on your headunit?

last I checked you can't get an audio signal out of a USB. what exactly are you trying to do?
