  1. During qualifying if your the only one in that class it puts you in the class your bracketed for. There is a 160 Up class in the software from Wayne but its not an official class (yet) So some people that are capable of 160+ BR run over 160 dB during qualifying and the computer automatically places them in the 160 Up class. Despite being limited to 159.9 officially people still push it past that into the un-official class. So to get the computer to bracket you in 160 Up you just have to be over 160 in qualifying. I will be voting to open up that class for next year, I think theres alot of people ready for it now and it would round out the bass race format with a class that just blows the crowds away. Kinda like Psyclone will do hope that helps
  2. I gave him the song but I will let Clay tell you what it is. I am just happy it worked for him. Once he perfects the start on it I see a 161+ run in there. Damn the after party was good too. I will see if we kept a pic from the pub.
  3. Ya it was a qualifying score only I made him do it twice because it was my mess up on the meter so thats why it said overshot. It was a legit 160.5 qualifying run. and you notice the last few seconds almost have no sound thats why the sudden drop in score. I honestly thought it would have been a 161+ run if it had not been for the ending. And yes 2x is certified for those who don't know.
  4. Congrats on the 160.5dB Bass Race. Those DC's held their own with no failures at all.
  5. Steve you know I will watch the build. I also got my order in for subs when "they" are done and I can fit four of the 22's easy if their released at the same time. Can't wait to see what you have in store for the new build.
  6. well I guess I will frankenstein a cone and coil in there and just sell it for dirt cheap. I figured they only do the recones, so no way.
  7. I've had this sub sitting around doing nothing but it needs a recone so if anyone has one to sell let me know what your asking, single 3 ohm is fine.
  8. Thanks Rusty, Can't wait to see more options available to those of us looking to do 160+ Bass Race with four subwoofers, and 400+ point Psyclone runs. Keep us posted.
  9. Not sure if it has been asked before, but is DC audio working on or have plans for a subwoofer with a 4" coil with/without neo motor?
  10. Wow Jack, Awesome score, but I have to ask what song did you use for the spl portion? Damn thats low. I gotta hear it someday.
  11. First test of the idea will be this 28th @ 1 PM Central time.
  12. x2 that, the new 2K5D small Stetsoms are to say the least..impressive. and they are not expensive lol they are one of the top watt per dollar amps out there. A 1k6 might be enough for you too.
  13. I created an account at www.stickam.com under the account name (dbdon) and email I used is [email protected] So if your interested in watching live spl testing or building whenever I am in the garage just sign up and invite me so you know when I am showing spl testing or building. If you also want to show spl testing and have people log on to offer idea's or just to learn sign up and invite me. Just let me know when you need me on if you need help testing.
  14. What are you skills with 12v electronics? I can help you with your problem if you have a good understanding of 12v and charging/starter systems. Here is what I use in my Daily/off road spl machine atm and the vehicle runs off two stepdowns just fine and one alternator atm charges at 18 volt to stereo battery bank. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=1482...mp;id=704962744
  15. There are a few video's of Alma's Bronco the vehicle that started the hair trick revolution. They are from her old PPI Art series setup circa 1996-1998. Not sure if they ever made it to you tube though.
  16. Wish I had video's of my firstshow, I had eight RF punch power 15's and about 800wrms sealed and hit 148 db back in 1992 All the video recorders back then were to huge to carry around, not to mention expensive. Thats a nice first vehicle Steve.
  17. these are the current rules. http://www.termpro.com/dbdrag/rules/2009/r...9&section=0
  18. I see so much room for improvement in those systems and once people start to build for this format I think the scores will be much closer. Those people are the first to officially complete a santioned Psyclone. Doug rocks and I can't wait till the snow is gone up here to do shows. -Tip #1= to get you started on that perfect RTA score after you get those install points at 100 would be to find a 30 band 1/3 octave EQ and set it up for as perfect of a score as you can. Showing the control you have over your sound with a flat response will score higher. -Tip #2=Getting the most out of your spl score coming at a later date
  19. I like everything about your design except the huge corner on the inside of the box, that will sorta partition the pressure wave that is so vital to creating very efficient port gain. The parallel woofers in the rear area, they need to get slightly larger (even if by only inches) at the front. By making the area where you want the pressure to travel wider/larger in transition you cut delay down by ALOT. That is more spl for you. I think if you kept the same idea and went with an adjustable port and have the rear wall smoother or fibreglassed to the wheel well so the airspace behind the woofers is more one unit. Slightly angle the side walls to be a bit wider in the rear so pressure naturaly moves to rear(more port eff.) Enclosure stiffness is very important with this design and theres less delay from the front woofer to the rear woofer the lower you go in frequency, and thats why this design works so well with low notes. I say go for it and take pics along the way.
  20. When you foam up any spaces use low expansion window and door spray foam it will not buckle the sheet metal if used properly.
  21. EDIT: Actually you can delete this, I read the reseller forum rules and can understand that you have to keep a tight ship. Even though they are still for sale I will just have to re-post em when I can take new pictures with a paper beside them. Everyone knows who I am and don't plan to rip anyone off and ruin my name any time soon, but I am still held to the same rules. I was hoping for $360 each but it will have to be offered on other places untill I can take some pictures of them with me in them.
  22. Looking to sell these to make way for bigger speakers, they are less than a year old, all good condition. pictures are on my facebook album here. PM me your offer. Dual 1 ohm btw http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=3164...744&l=8a778
