  1. my advice is yes...ALL American soft parts & hand built. Can handle more power if you ever need them to. Also, not trying to change your mind, but look at DC LV4 subs (about same price as Copper Coil HDC3's) & DC LV4XL (about same price as Alum. coil)
  2. somehow I doubt it, but does the old HU have any input source? Like RCAs coming in?
  3. Get dual 2Ω. Also, just in case you ever decide to match the sub with anoher, get the universal option.
  4. I made one for my science project last year. Went to state with it but didn't place. (Actually, it was like 75% of my dad building it & like 25% me lol.) might be able to grab some pics if you guys want... The fire waves were actually VERY close to the real wave lengths. It's called a "Ruben's Tube."
  5. "If it ain't got no highs and it ain't got no lows, then it must be Bose." Basically there's WAY better options out there. It all just depends on what you listen to. But most good over ears will require a headphone amp to really get them going. My two fav. companies are: Grado & AKG I had a pair of AKG K701 and they were AMAZING w/ acoustical music. Not so much rap.
  6. true lol... actually the Sundown is $825 pre-order. But they are expecting 3800+ on 12volt system. That's pretty damn good.
  7. or.......... you could pre-order & hold out till the SAZ-3500D. I think the pre-order is like $780ish or something similar.
  8. www.AudioQue.com Read up on it & go to order to get prices. Yes they do rated power & more from what I've heard. Very good costumer service. Reliable & what not. If I remember correctly, they are EXTREMELY similar to a DD M1a. Don't hold me to that, though.
  9. live in Alabama & we get none here. But we usually go out skiing in Colorado every winter so I get to see plenty of it. Last year we went to Snowmass-Aspen & it was by far my favorite skiing.
  10. I find wave runners VERY boring after a little while. There is just not much you can do. I'd take my Ski Nautique over one anyday But, we still own one, it's just been sitting up for like 2 years.
  11. I'm more of a utility kind of guy. If it can't go deep or can't pull well, then it's not for me lol.
  12. Yeah, but why not suggest them? You know they're good subs & you can't go wrong with them. Personally, I think he'd be happy with them if he got a bigger amp. If he doesn't get a bigger one, then he can go with some Lv3s.
  13. LV5 10 Rusty, DO IT AGAIN! But seriously, look at some DC stuff. You can PM/email Rusty for pricing info. Also, take a gander at some AQ subs. dcsoundlab.com audioque.com
  14. Maybe he meant like Knu wire is better than say Stinger wire? (I don't know if it is, that was just an example off the top of my head.)
