Im the one that put its probably not worth getting put into a different class if he goes to comps. i know that when you are trying to get to the top of your class 2-5 db's is a big difference. the threads like this mean more than most think..... like i said, i have a very very close friend (I consider a brother) that has been more than once and when i heard he was boo'ed or called names because HE WAS SENT THERE TO DO HIS JOB I could not believe that..... The same people you call on to be ready to deffend our freedom were called names and boo'ed because they did their job..... That is why I started this thread, so that any member of smd can see that I (we) appreciate appreciate our troops!!!! And I know there are members that are included!!!!!

Yes, there are alot of people that have booed our troops when they come back on leave or whatever, my brother (from another mother) has been called a child killer. Just like Vietnam, some people just dont see the real picture. The eastern hemisphere is not like here. They do things very different, there are kids with bombs strapped to them, or dead carcuses with bombs inside them designed to kill. You (we) never know what the next target will be..... Yes it is sad and unfortunate, but that is the way it is.

It is never an easy decision, and I thank your dad! I gave up my dream of the army for my first born, they were jerking me arround and I told them to pack sand! My family comes first, always has. And I thank you and your Father for your time served!!!! I know that some look down on you (as they did a close and dear friend of mine) but you also must remember, it was not all your decision! You are a volunteered member of our armed services and our entire nation has sent you to do your duty! You do as the commanding chief in office tells you to do! But it is nice to know that the every day man and woman supports you!!!! SO, THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO!!!! FOR GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL!!!!!!!

No I'm not suprised, I know! and I want you and any vet to know that there are people that support you!!!! There is not a day that goes by I dont thank or at least think of my freedom and what it has cost. Both now and any other time we have gone to war! I will always support our troops!!!!

I have many friends and family that have gone (and are still) overseas in the war against terrorism. I just want everyone of them and anyone else that can read this to know we appreciate everything they do! And I'm sure many more people have friends and family that are or have gone overseas. Please show your support for those that support your everyday freedoms!

i used to work for home depot a few years back, over night unloading trucks and stocking the shelves. i dont knock that, i know people that own companies too, but look in florida, my state has the highest unemployment rate in the country. now would you rather have all of the 100 plus stars and celebs spend their money on something we will never see a return on or on helping us "AMERICANS" get our debt down and our ecconomy back? thats all im saying, yes even before all of this shit we were in debt to china pretty good, but why make it worse? if we become so dependant on them through trade or anything else all they have to do is stop all trades to us and we are fucked for the most part. then what? we have a few smaller countries that will still help but we become more vulnerable to being over run. its not looking good at all. our national debt was never this high before, now we are in the trillions.

yes the military does pay, but i have family values, i have 4 kids a wife and alot of family that depend on me for both moral and monitary support. i spent 4 years in rotc in high school ready to go in the army and i found out i was going to be a dad then all i wanted was to be here for his birth and they couldnt give me a straight answer, so i had to leave that behind me. 2 months after i was scheduled to be in basic guess what sept 11th happened. and the war started. i have many friends and some family that have been there and are going back there in this war, so dont tell me i have no values. s yes i could have a job in the army but i could never come back and have my children and wife a burden on the american tax payer too!!!!!!
