From the math im doin hes only gettin 40sq in of port, he needs close to 100-120 lottsa port noise in ur future try widening the port ull have to play with the length too until u hit the tuning u like put it up again but idk if i would go with this design just my .02 pls correct me if im wrong.....

The guy that installed it for him is telling me he put in a Polk Audio 1200.1 and Kicker L7 15 in a 2 cube box sealed ive never personally heard his truck but ive never been one to hate on kickers, but now that i know its sealed and he didnt even help on his own install i will just to say i did it myself lol

so this kid thats always thought he was the shit all through high school and what not has supposedly called me out after i get my new system to jump on a tl against him we used to have car shows at my high school and our local stereo shop would bring out there tl and meter the students cars for a little mini comp more or less shit talking rights at school well my original system was one kicker cvr 12 on a kicker kx550.3 with stock speakers, and i wanna say when we did the first comp he was pushin two old powerbass 15's off like 600 watts and of course he metered higher than me but now he has one 15 in an extended cab f150 on like 1500 watts and supposedly hes been runnin around telling ppl how im gonna be gettin all this shit and if he had it he could do better blah blah runnin his mouth to be honest with idc if im louder than him i want a clean good sounding install that i can show off and be different cuz no one that i now of runs Fi audio around my area i like to be different but honestly should i jump on the TL with him and get it metered after its all built cuz idc if im louder bcuz thats not what im going for course it would be nice to shut him up, so what u guys think install my stuff and go against him or just leave it be and let him run his mouth cuz if im not louder hes gonna talk shit and if i dont hes gonna talk shit so idk what to do cuz i dont wanna look like a bitch but i dont wanna embaresse my self either lol but id rather know hes louder than to back out and listen to more of his bullshit cuz hes always runnin his mouth about my race car and my house and what not and hes the one with nothing i mean im only 19 and yea im living pay check to pay check but at least i got shit i can call my own just kinda pisses me when ppl rag on the stuff i got when they damn sure aint got better let alone even close to what i have. yea id go with what he said sub up port out the side would be sweet and some plexi always adds to the box looks great and its quite simple i was gonna try kerf cutting on my box but i decided to back down off that idea cuz i looked up what all had to be done and i dont have the resources neccesary not saying you dont but there alot of work and its no easy task bending wood lol but listen to this guy dont really know him but hes a good guy and seems quite knowledgable

Well i cant vouch for everyone but i know mine with several tickets and one accident is almost 600 a month with full coverage here in fl, really blows i can only imagine what it would cost me on a brand new vehicle prolly upwards of 1000 a month haha

So u have an aftermarket alternator it looks like and with that it takes more power to spin the bigger alt vs. a stock alt u can almost count on at least 5% lost in hp i mean i dont really deal with alts much but when that amp starts drawing power and kills the reserves in the batts at idle its up to the alt to make up for it and then thats when u start losing power/rpms at idle its not really a great idea to play it loudly at idle try keeping it around 2000 and see if the same happens if not its just the alts kicking in at idle and drainin ur motor out not a big issue but an issue none the less someone pls correct me if im wrong but this is just my racing experience talking here being that same car w.o. an alternator will pick up in 1/4 and drop off with an alt

yea i did the same thing when i first got started but after a few months my local shop corrected me when i went asking questions about ports and explained how i was getting the port area and they quickly corrected me

I run horns Selenium D-250x just run straight off the mids amp with a bass blocker no crossovers. These are some horn drivers there loud and have pretty good SQ, just my .02
