  1. X2 All this is in the rules thread at the top of the for sale section. So don't be surprised id this thread is gone soon.
  2. It's not bad, it's terrible. That might have cost you a set of 6x9s. Do you have all your speakers connected to that amp? And does your amp go into protect?
  3. It's most likely your coils. And if you have your 6x9's in the stock location then there's most likely an opening to your trunk under them so that means your Kappas are the ones that are out, and that should explain the white smoke in your trunk.
  4. Personally, I don't think any company is going out of business, they are going to do everything they can to stay in business and the government is going to do everything it can to make it happen. GM is doing pleanty to stay up and they have lots of more fuel efficient choices now like the Hybrid Tahoe, Malibu, and the Silverado and those cars still look good while being more fuel efficient , but those aren't really in your price range, a good reliable fuel efficient car that it out from Chevy is the Cobalt right now. But like I said if you really need affordable, fuel efficient, and you want to stay away from companies that look like they are at risk then you should look at the Scion line of cars.
  5. Since it's going to be a brand new car, i really don't think there's such a thing as cheap insurance, no matter what car it is. So I think buying a used car as a first car is a good idea. But back to the new cars, I would stick to American cars, no matter if they are bankrupt or anything, that just means that they have to make better cars to get back on top. But they aren't very nice on insurance, or gas. So, you might want to take a look at some of the Scions, the tC especially since it's the best car Scion has IMO.
  6. X2 There are plenty of well treated car for sale, I just got my Jaguar and I bet that if I wouldn't tell anyone I could pass it as a brand new car. But if you must get a new car i think you should get the '10 Camaro. But really from the 3 choices you have, I would have to say the Mazda. But that Hyundai Genesis looks extreamly nice for a Hyundai and is in the price range that it looks like your trying to stay in so you should check that car out.
  7. Here's some ideas of what you could do.... EDIT: Vids didn't want to work but here are the links http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C46yGGwLXKE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dYy_aCOQf8...feature=channel ^^^Same truck in both vids And here's a build log that is on this forum of a Dime with 5 DC lvl 5 15"s and 5 DAT amps. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...?showtopic=6215 There are plenty of pics and there's a couple of vids in there too I think.
  8. Thanks, I'm gonna be there but the Jag doesn't have a system, so I'm just going as a spectator, so I'll be sure to take plenty of pics. EDIT: One more quick question, what time is everything gonna get started?
  9. If you need some help you should go to the "Tim-ay......aka Groundpounder2k2's Corner" the link is http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...hp?showforum=67 He's real good at fiberglass work, so if you don't learn something by just looking at his section you could shoot him a pm and I'm sure he'll be glad to help.
  10. Here are a couple more pics of the Pontiac before the crash They weren't smoked out in the pics of after the crash because I had gotten a fix it ticket so I had to clear them up again and I didn't get to re-smoke them. Tail light stayed on til the very end.
  11. I'm not 100% sure but this sound like you MIGHT have a case for "False Advertisement" against them. I'm not sure how that will turn out though. Either way, I hope this get settle the right way.
  12. I haven't had any experience with these subs but from what I've seen and heard I would say go with either of the Level 3's....and the lvl 3's are rated at 600rms each so if you just want them to run at there rated power go with any amp that is doing 1200 true watts rms for both and they should be fine, but I've heard that all those subs could take much more than they are rated at. And about the box, you should always make your own, cuz pre-fabs aren't all that great. I'm sure all of this will be backed up by people on here that are rocking DC.
  13. It was a HUGE upgrade, and I felt it right away. I fell in love with my Jag. And thanks.
  14. It really hurts huh, but that's good that you got your truck, and waiting for a system sucks too doesn't it, I hate riding sock. And thanks for the compliment.....I had to pay $3000 to the financing company and $4500 to the previous owner. I thought it was a good deal.
  15. Really? That really sucks, what do you think would be some of the causes for the problems?
  16. Well I am gonna do big thing just not things that will tear it up, I've only had it for 1 day and I already plan on putting possibly 20's, a good SQ system, and some suicide doors for the back (to get a semi Rolls-Royce Phantom look). And I'm open to ideas but yeah, I might open another thread when I get some more money to get some ideas.
  17. They are, I felt a big difference from my Pontiac seats and the Jags seat. Even though its a luxury type car the seats give off a somewhat sporty feel. And I just love the black leather with the grey trim.
  18. Hah, wouldn't that be a first, or at least close to a first. But I'm not even sure if I'm gonna do much to it, maybe just for SQ. But thanks.
  19. I'm really sorry to hear about your mom. I hope everything get straightened out and your mom gets better.
