  6. anyone waching cnn? "that person may not have any radio, or tv, or computer, or common sense... that may be one of the most idiotic things i've ever seen"
  7. damn thats gunna be sick! i think the winner should get a free smd woofer. and i should get one too for suggesting it
  8. ok heres where you start. that black wire he hooked to your antena should be ground. if it is hook it up to the black wire thats not attached to anything. also i dont know what those yellow wires are but thats not where your remote goes, if thats the remote from your amp cut it and hook it up to the remote from the headunit. but make sure its the remote from your amp first. i dont want you to cut anything unless your sure what it is
  9. i wtf'd at that for a minute. what the hell are those 2 yellow wires for? wherer do they go? are all those wires that arnt hooked up labeled? and what did he attach to the antena wire? nothings supose to go over there but the antena Edit:that blue wire with the rubbery cap on the end is usualy remote. is that one labeled?
  10. it seemed slower at first but not anymore its running perfectly fine for me and i love the changes, im sure 30% will get over it
  11. you should have 3 wires going from your amp. remote turn on. 12v power, and ground, remote goes to the back of the radio, power goes to the battery, and ground goes to a solid piece of clean metal edit: pics and we can help more
  12. the fuse has nothing to do with the amp staying on, but if you dont want your car to catch fire your gunna want to put a fuse in. wherre did he hook your remote wire up to that the amp is staying on? he shoulda just ran it to the back of the head unit. the blue wire that say remote, or amp turn on.
  13. lose the cao and see if it still does it. a 1 farad cap does nothing for voltage they just look really pretty. do you have a voltmeter besides the cap? how bad do your headlights dim?
  14. not sure about your car but i pulled my add-244 200 amp alt off of a 6.0 hummer in a junk yard. so i believe your accesory drive brackets should line up. hopefully someone else can comfirm this Edit: he shoul;d have a cs130, i belive the ad244 is the larger alt for the work trucks that i took outa the junk yard
  15. soundslike either a voltage or rca problem to me. i would make sure your rcas arnt comin loose
  16. hmm. i would still double check it because accidents happen even from the factory. also how do you have it wired from the box to the amp?
  17. is one moving more than another or in the opposite direction? you could have a lose rca. i would also check your wiring inside the box and make sure you wired them both corectly and didnt mix one up on accident
  18. that caps not really helpin you all that much. its really most useful as a voltmeter. i would ditch it and get a small battery for the trunk. now big is the difference that your noticeing?
