gain knob was not connected. no voltage selector.

- is connected from one amp to the other.

i just realized what it might be... since its 2 amps strapped it uses the + outputs from both amps. master + goes to sub + and slave - goes to sub -. i used the wires that go into the subs so i used the + from both amps. is that the problem? ill have to test it again tomorrow

whenever i try to set my gains with a dmm i can never get the voltage i am supposed to. i was just trying to set my 2 saz1500's strapped. i need 77v. turned the gain up all the way and only got 59.1v. hu volume was at 50/62. now here's the kicker... if i turn the volume up more than 50 the voltage goes down. same thing if i raise the sub level on the hu. ive tried using a differant dmm on a differant amp in the past and i couldnt seem to get the voltage up to where i needed it either. i didnt try going all the way up on the gain though. any ideas on why im not getting high enough voltage?

guess i just need to wait for the o-scope to get here so i can set this thing up. seems like the gain needs to be higher than it did with just 1 amp.

i just got my second saz1500 installed, strapped. does it matter where the gain is on the slave? i just put it all the way down... i think my friend is still selling his o-scope. think he only wants $100 for it. he is "mr.p" on here.

i would be down to help with the build. i have a wood shop at my house. im pretty handy with a saw. noobtastic and mr.p can vouch for me.

next weekend ill be installing my second saz-1500 and strapping them. buddy has an o-scope ill use to set gains. i can check the voltage after and tell you exactly what i got. pm me if you want me to do that for you.

with this kind of question i would say dont go over what they are rated at. stick to the subs rms rating when you pick an amp. how much are you looking to spend? sundown amps are great if you can afford it. hifonics makes good cheap amps. way too many options to list.

i would guess that as the tone gets closer to the bottom limit of human hearing, it gets harder to hear at a distance. so to the ear, 34hz could sound louder. but more likely... you are looking at videos. i bet your computer speakers dont play 26hz and the mic used wont pick up 26hz. so you only hear the higher pitch flexing of the truck.

the tinsel lead is a part of the subwoofer. you are using them, every sub does. just FYI. glad you got it working.

you can just drive a car without breaking it in. it just helps it last longer if you break it in (or so that's the myth). subs DO break in. do you need to start slow? i dont think so. i might give it a week b4 going full tilt on new subs but im at 80% for that week.
