  1. Do you know what size the stock battery is? I can look it up at the office tomorrow and let you know what fits!
  2. I would suggest replacing your starting battery with an equal sized XS Power (likely a D3400) and running a D680 in the rear right next to the amp as a little extra supplement to the amp. With the DC Power 270xp and these two batteries you will be in great shape!
  3. You will want to make sure you connect the rear batt to the front batt with a fuse at each end. You will also need to make sure the rear batt is well grounded. This will ensure that it keeps properly charged by the alternator. If your voltage drops off overnight below 12.8 or so, then you can charge the entire system by connecting a charger to either battery. Hey... we all have to learn sometime... most users on this forum are eager to help!
  4. Pretty cool idea! I ran 7 XS Power D1200 sized batteries in my Accord for 2 years on the stock alt... worked just fine! At the time there wasnt much available as far as alts... today we offer up to 250A for most Honda applications!
  5. You'll likely be much happier with 4-6 quality AGM batteries capable of producing large amounts of current. Some suggestions are Stinger, North Star, XS Power...
  6. That's confusing to me, because the act of starting an engine is not going to pull any less current than today's powerful amplifiers... I would love to see proof that these batteries can produce the amperage they claim...
  7. A fully charged good quality AGM battery will only require around 5 additional amps from the alternator, however if you allow your batteries to become discharged from continuously pulling more current than your alternator can produce the batteries can require as much as 20-40A of additional current per battery to bring them back to 100% state of charge. It's important to be aware of your system voltage when the car is off to gauge how full your battery bank is. A resting voltage below 12.8V should be topped off with a good quality AGM charger to keep the bank topped off. This will extend both the life of the batteries, as well as the alternator.
  8. Actually, the XS Power D680 (same size as above) will produce much more power than 100 1 farad capacitors, and is good for up to 1,000W of power! Not to mention big supporters of SMD They can also be purchased through Mechman, Darvex, ***, and many others trusted supporters of SMD
  9. The D925 and S925 models are often used to replace Optima red tops for cars with stereo systems. With the S925 you can use the 527 GM hold down to make it a direct bolt for bolt replacement for the stock battery. Like mentioned above, if you are in extreme cold a single 925 may not be ideal, but mine has never failed to start in over 3 years. The 925's will work great for starting, audio and pretty much anything you want to throw at it. Great all around addition...
  10. It wasnt intended to be used that way when Alpine released it. There are two video input wires that you splice an RCA into that allows you to feed video directly in to the monitor. You can use an Alpine KCA-801B audio interupt if you want to input audio to go along with the video
  11. Yep... I had one hooked up to it actually. It was mounted in my rear window, but the bass broke the bracket and ripped the cable out of the camera
  12. OK... First person with $200 gets the CVA1000 flip out with the changer, the Clarion video player, the CD Player and the Tape player!!! I'm stupid... just take advantage of me!
  13. Shoot us a quick email at [email protected] and we can look up what the Camry has from the factory and make a direct replacement recommendation off that
  14. Trying to keep the site fresh... lots of new changes to come! Upgraded the main page today!
  15. If you want the most power you can to directly mount in the stock tray I would look into an XS Power D3400... about the same price as the equivelant size Kinetik with a lot more cranking power!
  16. It is made to mount on it's side... the D925 will work, but it will be a little sloppy in the mount. You may want to slide a spacer in there to tighten it up. Also, check to make sure the polarity is right too.
  17. Tape Deck still available... any takers? Will make a hell of a combo deal if anybody wants it all???
  18. Yep! In fact, if you use the S925 with the 527 GM side mount bracket it will bolt right in to your stock mounting tray... even comes with the items you need so you can still use your stock battery connectors.
  19. Yes, flooded setting... the amperage will depend on the size of the battery. If it is a standard mid sized car battery, use the 15A setting. If it's G24 or larger, use the 25A setting.
  20. It's yours! Will ship it out Monday morning! Send me PM with shipping info! Thanks!
  21. Alpine CVA 1000 Tuner with 12 Disc Alpine Changer (changer has issues) This is the first flip out Alpine (or anyone for that matter) ever made. This setup sold for over $1500 new. Works great, screen is clear and colorful, no missing pixles, etc. The power plug to the brain has a frayed wire on the plug, but it's taped up and workin great. The monitor itself does not accept a CD, so it will have to be used with a changer or some other audio or video source. I still have the manual, the face cover, and the remote that came with it. Operation is kinda awkward, but it's easy to get used to. It is not a touch screen... the buttons up the side are what you navigate with. Excellent piece... kinda wish I had something to install it in. Not exactly sure what is up with the changer... it acts like it's going to work... even goes through and pics up the disks... just doesnt do anything past that. $175 OBO for the CVA 1000 and brain. $40 for the changer. $200 for everything. Here are some examples of what it looks like when it's on. (these are not my pics) Clarion VHS 12V Video Player $30 OBO - Very Lightly used, with custom painted metalic front face. - Infra Red Remote - 2 Speed Playback - Dew Sensor to keep from damaging the heads from moisture. Alpine 7235 Tape Player $15 FEATURES: - Dont have a tape to test it out, but it comes on and runs through the channels just fine. The display is brighter on one side than it is on the other, and the antenna end has been cut for some reason. - Two channel 16W x 16W... not sure if they work. - Rear Pre-outs - Pull-out model just like the cd player above. Pulls out just fine. - Cant remember what all else this one does either... More to come... Alpine 5903 CD Player $25 FEATURES: - Has a disk hung in it... buyer can have the disk for free. I dont know what it is, but probably something from the 90's! - This is a pull-out model, meaning you can slide the whole player out of it's housing and hide it away or take it with you... this was before removable face was invented Seems to be stuck... who wants to take it with them anyway? - This model does not have a tuner built in... pre-outs only. - Front and rear outputs, and an audio input for use with other components, like I-pods, dvd player, phone, tape decks... anything with an audio rca output. - I'm sure there are lots of other cool features, but it's been too long for me to remember.
  22. If they're installed in the car with an alt, you dont have to charge them if you dont want to. However, occassinoally topping them off with a good AGM charger like the XS Power 1005 charger will extend the life of the batteries noticeably.

  24. Great Buyer! Purchased from me twice within 1 week. Super fast payment, easy to work with! Thanks!
  25. Hey Jacob... your inbox is full. Also, I was trying to check out your Powermaster (XS Power) battery thread, but I'm locked out Sorry to hi-jack... Congrats Steve!
