true...yes sorry replys are coming out as I type....... as for the Box....I do not see that as a reason to not do it...building the perfect box for you sub is half of the....well....fun in it. If I get a new Sub I expect to have to build a new box. But the cost..yes definetly a reson to not do it

yes and no...what about the people that like running one sub setups...some people like 2 sub setups...yeah wouldnt really give much of an advantage...but thats not exactly the reason I would want it.

fail how....explain please.....What is wrong with a unconventional size sub? if acoustically if it is not good fine, But in competing isn't everyone looking for that little edge to push them ahead of the next person...different amps, different wire....HO Alts, Different batteries, different ways to set up systems...and so forth.

yeah sorry bout that maybe not the clearest on that. Personally i think it would be niceand unique...kind of like the jl's 13...i think i saw one other company out there with a 13 inch sub but I can not find it again.

nope the cone diameter...of a sub.. so that way you could compete with one sub that has 159.4 sqin of cone area. snd stay in the lower classes

I think this would be a great sub size. especially for those competing in the rookie 1, stock one classes in IASCA. Dunno if it is feasible or not. just wanted to throw it out there. Dont laugh at me too much, people.

clipping is over driving the amp. asking it to handle more power than it can put out. you can prevent by not over gaining the amp. use a DMM or oscope to set the gain causes subs/ speakers to over heat..

if you want to see 2200 watts at 2 ohms set the amp output to about 66.33 VAC and at .5 ohms set the output to about 33.16 VAC. WITH a DMM that is about as good as you can do...impedence changes in the sub sometimes it may be lower sometimes higher...

port noise will have a good bit to do with that...will kind of sound like a flapping sound...from what I have heard. the ratio of height to width is kind of high. usually want to keep the ratio to below 7 (i think) in general, your ratio is like 14. also routing the edges of the port might help some. Look into using aero ports and see if that is a possibility for you.

unless you have a Multimeter or scope..you might not want your gain that High maybe 50-55%$ until you can get a meter on it...sundowns are good but such a low ohm load for a daily driver. might be pushing it a bit with it set that high.. BUt I dunno
