^pretty close to perfect advice there, most people will zero out the EQ settings on the HU before setting. and welcome, Big 3 is a good start, could tell a big difference when I did mine. There are threads on the big 3 in this forum, if help needed. And u may get a lot of smart ass replys on here from time to time, but it is all in fun and games. So take no offense to to anything in here and learn as much as u can.

the burning smell might be because you are possibly clipping the subs..
