you can do it with out the harness but the airbag light will be on...there were roomers it would pop in ur face if u dud this but i had my 99 cavy like this along with my buddys 04 cavy and his G.Fs 02 cavy no popping airbags in any of the 3 cars ....his o4 did have the airbag light on but the 02 & 99 was not dif in any thing i dont rember if the door chimes worked or not i know they dont in my 04 grand am

ur right & you can never have to many grounds....... basic big there is alt to + bat - from alt or engine to batt.- batt to body & frame ....also it helps the alt give power with less resistance witch will make the alt last longe and your amps run cool and make more power

ok so i dont know how cool this is but im im pretty damn happy ..i went to get my truck metered to night and got a 148.5 music and a 149.7 @41hz i am running 2 fully loaded Fi BL 18"s walled ..i know i should do better with 18"s and a wall but i am running a hifonics hfi2500.1 @.7ohms... and my wall is not fully sealed up + this is my first wall build ever! just wanna brag i guess and get some feed back....by the way my wall is @ the c piller guy that did the termlab is a big spl guy Bill Johnson with Rival has a hoe doin 159.9 ....anyway i do have a build log on here if u wanna check out my build ....in the S.O.T.M as well if you want to drop a vote also i was 148.5 sealed at the dash music &149.7 @the dash drivers door open [/img] on music [/img]

i like the hifonics my self....but they are power hungry

im a mechanic and i have not seen a better battery for cars than interstate batterys with the b3300 u should be able to get a fairly large 1 stay away from walmart bats there good for 3-6 months

it really depends on ur budget...i would suggest sundown cause i know there subs are damn near indestructible....there are lots out there...remember YouTube is you biggest friend when doin research

i had to have my mechamn sent in for repair ...they said because i used the wrong size o ring terminal (lil big)it messed mine up...it did melt the plastic around that terminal...so i would check that a.s.a.p also you always want to take your grounding points to bare metal ...if you worried about rust spray paint after u tighten it down.... i would also take a ground from the frnt bat to the fire wall as well as the frame to fire wall...im guessing your running you other batts grounded to the body...more thing have you charged ur bats recently?

i have owned alot of amps and my all time favorite is the bxi1605d and 1608d...the bxi 1608 i have had bench tested @1701 watts @14.9 volts..only bad is the require a good charging system to do that power...and it will have pretty much the same sound qauilty as the alpine did maybe better...ther great tough amps as long as you set the gains right and feed them good power i only ran them @ 1ohm &.7 ohm tho ....will take .7 ohm daily btw

i got my Mechman back for my 95 Honda passport from being repaired today and i was surpized wen i finaly got it re installed my voltage when i first got it was 13.7 cold and @12 warm with a load .....but now my cold voltage is 15.1 .warmed up i am getting 14.2 and 13.8 warm under a healthy load of 3000+ watts i did have a issue when i got this with low then no voltage...(every1 gets bad parts from time to time)also i may have been part of the reason it failed due to the wrong size ring terminal on the positive output bolt of the alt...but after discussing it with matt we decided to have u ship the right size terminals on some 0 gauge. well it seems to do the trick now i run a 3 extra batts(100 amp hours total and i will be adding more)i am running a hifonics hfi2500.1@2k @0.7 ohms a massive nx4 200x4rms & jensen 400 so i am putting the alt to work ...thanks guys i like the alt very much now!
