  1. She may not be the prettiest, but she likes to bump! Location:Utah Post #524 Entry #1
  2. Hey guys! Christmas time is coming up and im looking to pick up so new speakers for my 2000 Pontiac Grand Am. I just don't know what speakers are "good" I guess so if you guys could help me pick out some that aren't pricey but still have decent sound. I'm not looking for any super SQ build or anything like that just something to upgrade from my stock speakers. If I get new speakers im assuming i'll need another amp to power then as well? If thats the case, feel free to recommend a cheap amp to go with the speakers as well. Right now I currently have an AQ750 hooked up to a Fi X 12. Any help is appreciated guys! Thanks!
  3. Would you be interesting in doing $210 shipped? If so, i'll buy it when I get back from dinner.
  4. I'm so happy that I won 2nd place! I was hoping i'd win the subs but hey, $125 for free? I'll take that any day. Thanks a lot Steve and DC Audio for hosting and sponsoring these awesome give aways. I only got to see the first two prizes on the Ustream then I had to go to work sadly...but anyways thanks again Steve and DC Audio!
  5. Don't have a build log but here is my garage. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/garage/vehicle/1538-pontiac-grand-am-gt/ Good luck to everybody!

  7. Not using any EQs. I've checked my grounds by making sure the wire is connected good and the paint is scratched off, if there is any other way of checking to see if my ground is good let me know. I don't think my amp is "cheap" its an AQ750,not the best but its decent right? I haven't set them properly :|. I don't have access to a DD1 or oscope. My headunit has 2.2V preouts and another member told me that i'll probably have to have my gains a little past 1/2 way but not more than 3/4 so I have my gains at or maybe a tiny bit under 1/2 way. I dont go higher than 45 volume (61 max) so im hoping its alright. I know I need to get it set up properly but I just don't have the money to get a DD-1. I'd have to take it to an audio shop sometime but I don't trust any of the ones around here but looks like im going to have to. Uh well my ground wire came loose before from not being crimped well enough, so I checked that again and made sure that all the paint was scratched off. I also checked it at the amp to make sure it was snug in there. What else should I do to check it? I'm no pro at this stuff Grab a volt meter and make sure you're getting 12+ volts with the car off. Red probe to power wire @ amp. Black to ground. Just did that and im getting 12.34V
