Thanks...i'm not looking to burp at all. I'm building the biggest wall possible tuned at around 28-30hz, so I'm looking for deep bass. I just have had an AQ2200 running daily music on .5ohms, and I was hoping that the AQ3500's would be able to do the same. I know the AQ's have had issues with the vertical mosfets breaking, and AQ not warrantying it, so I guess I don't wanna go with too much power, and have too many problems. Yeah but there is a pretty big difference in going from one amp at .5 ohm and a 3k amp at that to two 4k amps to .25 ohm each. They pull lots of current!!! And I tried to play music thru mine at .5 ohm strapped and they played for about 15 sec and then went into overcurrent mode as soon as the note changed, into protect mode and the whole time my voltage was in the 13's. yea if you need more power sell the aqs and look for something different.. maybe sound digital? cactus sounds? Can't...trying to please some sponsors, and get more, so I gotta use what they suggest. I guess I'll just go with the 2ohm strapped, and run em' like they are supposed to be. thats probably the safest thing to do imo. but to help ur situation you could go with a higher charging voltage that would give you a few more watt out of ur amps.. or if your wanted to do it big and know what ur doing.. got to a 18 volt set up... the audioques do about 15k on 18volts strapped

YESS.. prefab boxes do most woofers no justice.. so making your own box you open up a world of opportunity for your sub.. you need wood of course.. MDF or Birch are the best to use.. Birch is stronger wood and a lighter wood some in your case unless your concerned about the weight of the box. also wood glue, a type of sealant for inside the box to make it air tight and screws or nail ur choice. bass on ur head unit.. ummm you can but mainly you dont wanna send a clipped signal to your amp or sub because it can damage and cause both to blow. and yes used the manufacture recommended spec for the size box for your sub..

your gonna need great electrical to run both of them at .5 ohm strapped... the amp at 1 ohm does use about 380 amp according the audioque website. so too strapped is prob right a 450- 475 amps of current draw.. so u may be looking at nearly a 900 amps of current draw... i dont think it really worth it.. for the minimal amount of power you gain.. and ur warranty is gone..

Suggestions for electrical
THEKINGsBACK replied to jdub92's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
really depends on ur budget man.. me personally i wish i knew what i knew when i was first starting out.. if you wanna stay at 14.4 ied say do a nice size alt..from whatever company you choose dc power, mechman, ohio, and just some 2 good battery's xs power would be my buy. prob a 3100 and i think a 2700 for up front and make sure you do your big 3 and run all 0 gauge wire power and ground -

THEKINGsBACK replied to jdub92's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
you not going to keep a constant 14.4 with a stock alt..., just not enough power behind it... your gonna need a high output alt and a few battery's, imo -
