  1. rockford site or the12volt.com has a subwoofer wire guide if its dual 2ohm coils you can hook one sub at 1ohm load or 4 ohm load or wire each coil at 2 ohms, if you have more then one then you got more ways to hook it up look at hose sites tho and should help you
  2. well sound like you did great i'm sure by what you said you did good and you will get the job, and i know your feeling about getting nervous lol if i got interview or even starting new job i'm up all night the day befor just thinking bout it and feel like i'm going to get sick, i just try to act like i'm talking to one of my friends like... they the ones asking me the questions instead of someone i don't know good luck tho hope it works out for you and sounds like you be working on some pretty cool stuff
  3. with that amp how does he have it ran? 1,2 or 4 ohms? and are his subs dual 2 or 4 ohms? i'd like to push more to them subs but don't want to fuk them up at the same time so i just got the smaller amp wired at 1ohm rated 1200rms but i know they not getting 100% of that but still happy with it for the 160 buck it costed
  4. in time i'll prolly look into new HU but for right now i kinda like having the buttoms on back of the wheel, and not sure if any after market unit would be able to use them, for now just trying to do things with almost no extra money and i'm a bass head at heart just can't afford to go all out
  5. ok first i know its not a top of the line set up like alot of videos here, but i did box and all the wiring and everything myself so i'm kinda proud of it for now.... just 2 10's in my jeep liberty, so don't expect alot of flex or nothing like that lol anyways hope you enjoy this small system http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSdj4FepU5c
  6. Thank you all for the in put. but after some playing with sketchup for a bit, i wouldn't have enough room for the 15's giving them each 4cft. and box tuned to 33hz so will have to go with the 4 10's oh well should sit hit hard
  7. 2003 jeep liberty limited, with out folding the rear seat i should have just enough room for etheir set up. just trying to get some idea's on what set up i want to go with when i redo my system and give the old setup to my girl
  8. the 4 10's would be 1000rms each, and the 15's 1400rms each. i should have the room for etheir set up in max spec ported box and the amp is not in question just say each sub would be getting their rms matched. what would you guys go with?
  9. ray is speaking the truth, i have suv with to 10's small speaker "should be nice and tight" well ya they aren't i hit the lows damn nice but once i get to about 70hz notes you can notice it starts to lose its punch. if your running a ported box i would say might wanna think about a sealed box i know that made i big difference on the highs more info about the car/truck, box set up, subs and amp would help get some better info as to what it might be and how to help it
  10. www.sonicelectronix.com 5 1/4 component speakers 5 1/4 non component speaker
  11. get sleep while you can and enjoy them when they little my baby girl is almost 6months now and seems like she growing up so fast, its fun tho gratz man!
  12. i agree with that i rather have more at idle then at higher rpm. my jeep has its own rumble at idle let alone if i hit the gas lol. and and what better way to enjoy your bass then to just sit back and turn car on and enjoy
  13. http://www.google.com/sketchup/download/ EDIT: had to fix link
  14. what i do for side walls is just build the 2d (paper thin) wall going up the push/pull it to the thickness i want or build the outline on the base of the box to lenght and thickness and pull it up to the height i want this way doesn't work for angled side peice tho, for angle i use the first way and just build the wall up to its height and thickness and pull it to the lenght i need, i'm sure theres a better way of doing it, i know you can build peice and move them into place i think i just never figured out how to do it yet i'm kinda in same boat as you still learning what all i can do with it and figuring stuff out but i how i can be of atleast a little help
  15. i always just type in what i want it say push/pull click on push or pull it just little bit and just type like 3/4 or .75 and hit enter and it goes to that size same with lines and stuff just type in the lenght and hit enter on for things that have 2 sides like square or what ever it would be 30, 30 then enter. i just played around with it befor i start to build anything with it myself cuz i didn't see much help learning it
  16. oh. well theres always room during the day to make yourself look like an ass lol i just had my moment
  17. hehe ya i hear ya about the scrap bin i would be there for hours i think, and sorry bout the miss up lol i'm just crazy some times
  18. i might be wrong but wasn't it you in his is lastest video? with the civic and he lets you? drive the hoe? if it was i thought he said you got some wire out of the scrap bin? lol i don't know i might just need my hearing and eyes checked
  19. should be fine ya and still have safety net incase it does ever short. that why you were getting wire from steve? lucky bastard lol would love to dig thru his scrap bin
  20. only answer i know is in the wiring guide thats pinned and as for not having it fused well stock my wire from alt to battle was not fused and i did the big 3 with 2 gauge and left it un fused so it won't hurt not having a fuse just need to watch out as to not have the wire short out if not fused all i can say
  21. i don't think welding cable would hurt nothing, i use semi battery cable (2 gauge) for all my power and ground and its all fine, the welding wire is prolly even better if its bigger gauge i would think since it does handle alot of amps and volts just my thinking anyways take it for what you will
