No in most of the old vidz I was running the atomic at .5 for the pr or 1ohm for a single sub. Biggest diff is the extra spider and the smaller box.

The one in my ava was around 3k or so but it was 10+ HZ below tuning in a 6 cu box lol. That one also had 5 spiders compared to the 6 im using now. Shrinking the overall common chamber helped bring them in line. I'm giving them way more power now than I was with the Atomics. Daily I give em 6krms. For comps they see between 8-10k musically and for burps. I'm sure something could be worked out to get you a Thorshammer Package in a 15. Just hit Rusty up and tell him this is what I want! The final piece to the package will be finished soon. Custom cf dust caps.

Vidz are full tilt musically at 2ohm and everyday I get in the car the subs see everything I can throw at them. lol

Theres a min of .5 in clean up and sealing coming up soon. I've seen a consistent 1.8-1.9 gain when I roll in from .5 So far so good no signs of stress;)

Got a lil bit of testing done. With a raw product that needs alot of sealing 2ohm up .5 over the fully sealed previous setup!

It seems to be and feel much louder. Definately more turbulent and within my box tuning. I'll probably wait till this weekend for actual tests but I would say its a good bit louder. lol

My only worry with seeing 1k or so on a lvl 5 is the clipping issue. I have no doubt that in the attempt to really get em moving most folks will push the amp beyond its comfortable limits. This is how horror stories of lvl 5's blowing with 1500 to it start. Having said that. It is enough to get nice and loud if you tune the amps properly and dont over drive them.

Well fellas I ended up flipping the sub upside down and banged on it a couple times and poop out came the unwound coil. lol We didnt take any pics of the recone process but I thought this one was a treat. An HD3 motor and HDC3 cone. I might just have to recone my ol HD3's with a newer cone. Was the only problem I ever had with them. Although if you resin the back of the old paper cone you could put a 7k on it for burps. For cleaning the gap use a popsicle stick and duct tape. Ken and his New Sub It was a pleasure meeting ya!
