Last week I put up a 147.6 for Fathers Day and this week I did a 148.6. Getting better! Clamped the car for thee first time found out I'm putting out 3365 with a box rise to 2 ohm. Well first round of tests for inverted are done. 148.3 at 37hZ. Those big azz motors are causing some serious turbulence at the port opening. Kinda knew this was gonna happen but thats why we test tear down rebuild and test again. LOL Next 2 days will be spent making a split baffle and getting these monsters in the box. Looking to build a center firing aero design next.

They aren't regular wood screws. More like self tapping steel screws. Face is 1.5in thick.

Yeah I didnt mean to scratch it. It was a screw that got sucked up by the mag. when i pushed it to move it it scratched it up. Oh well thats what happens when you work alone with a 76.3lb sub.

Strapped at .5 they will play daily with the impedance rise. I ran them for several weeks like this. My electrical consists of 220amp alt, Optima Yellow under hood, 2 Kinetik 2400's, 2 runs of 0. Amps stay pretty cool. I've never had one overheat or shut down because of thermal failure. Voltage drops to 11.9-12.3 for burps and 12.8-13.5 for daily at full music volume. (I should say this was at the AQ limits so there may be a bigger drop with the lvl 5's.)

Good to hear from ya! Will you be making it up with the USAudio crew June 28th? It's gonna be a great show with ALL proceeds going to St. Judes Childrens Hospital. I really like the AQ's and had great results with them. Unfortunately my ambitions were a lil bit big for them. LOL 151 at 40hz is nothing to scoff at and it has been a bit rough on the AQ's. Absolutely no love lost for DJ I just needed something I could put 4k+rms to ea. and Rusty's Lvl 5's are just what I need. So it's on to new adventures for Thor and his love for 10's out of a Trunk!

To begin with they will be inverted with them seeing a common chamber approx. 3.2 cu. Once I get tests done I'll build a split baffle and mount them traditionally at which time they will see approx. 2.4 cu. We shall see what they prefer and build another permanent box. Overall box size is right at 6cu. Port is 121.5 sq. in with it peaking at 40hz.

Yes Sir! Lvl 5 10's. Built with bassracing in mind As soon as I get my second amp back they will be strapped to a pr. of Atomic 5ks at .5(.25 peramp ) That should get them moving!
