Sundown in Hawaii = Loud
Blue_C1500 replied to sundownz's topic in Sundown Audio - GREAT Amps/Subs! GREAT Customer Service!
I know, but what? I've seen 1 15" Nightshade do almost a 153 with only 1000 more watts than I have and I have 4 times the cone area. I dunno if it's the box design or the truck or what. -
I hear that. I wish I lived closer so I could get mine faster. Weight is for fat people.

I'll send you a PM in a little while so we don't hijack Jake's thread anymore than we have. I really haven't done a lot of testing with this system (box has only been playing a week, but yeah, it does get louder with the driver's door open. I think it's tuned is the 36Hz range iirc. -

My voltage drops to the mid 11s with only 2 red tops. I ordered 2 D3400s and 4 D2700s in the XS group buy, so those should be on the way now. I've been waiting to get those to put my 3500Ds in. Right now I'm running a DD Z1 at .5Ω. The highest I could get was 148.78 when I burped 34Hz. If I went to a higher or lower frequency my dbs went down. I actually did that 149 on music with voltage drop like crazy. -

Are yours the XScorpion ones from Darvex? Did you have to run a ground wire to your's? -

Yeah, I'm right there but I just thought I'd be able to get a 150 before I put my SAZ-3500Ds in. You are right it definitely moves some air, which is fun. I went to a small local show last weekend and once I did the first demo a crowd gathered real quick. Then the questions started. lol -

I know huh... I saw Jacob did a 150 with 2 SA 8s a 1 SAZ-3500D, but we all know he's special. lol I don't understand it really. I mean don't get me wrong it's loud as hell. It just won't meter for anything. This is the loudest I have gotten so far. -

I'm jealous. I have 4 Nightshade 15s and I can't even hit a 150. -
Need to buy 3 d3100 XS Power batteries.
Blue_C1500 replied to Team Nemesis Steve's topic in Want To Buy
If you're not in a rush XS is having a group buy. They are currently at 5% off with free shipping but it could go as high as 15% off. Here is a link. -
I'm coming up with 3.1. I'm assuming that it will be made out of 3/4 mdf, correct? edit: OOPS I just saw that those are the internal measurements sorry yeah, 3.5 is pretty close.

How low does your voltage drop? I have 2 red tops and a Mechman 200A alt and my voltage drops pretty easily, even at 2Ω. Your's must drop a lot too. You should probably lose those red tops and get a couple of XS d3100s to go with your new alt. -
I learned that the hard way. Look what I did with funky pup 6.5" comps. My neighbor was pissed.

Video Editing programs
Blue_C1500 replied to Chode69's topic in Computer Talk - News, technology, advice
I use either Windows Movie Maker or Pixela ImageMixer. They work ok for cutting and splicing but neither one will slow the video down at least if they can, I can't figure out how. I'll have to try out the ones that are mentioned above. Pixela ImageMixer came with my camera but Windows Movie Maker came on my computer so your's might have it too. -

A lot has to do with what insurance company he has. They will probably give you ~$500 and let you keep it but the money they give you won't be near what it would cost you to fix it. Plus, if you ever wanted to sell it you'd have a salvage title which would make what you could get for it drastically less. It's your call, if it has sentimental value to you it might be worth taking a loss.
