i recently spilled water on my panasonic lumix 14.1mp 1080p video camera and now none of the buttons work so i need a new camera and i want a nice one my budget is less than 500 i was looking at reviews online for the nikon coolpix p7000 canon g12 and the lumix dmc-lx5 i want the camera for recording video and taking very good quality pictures i would like to have 1080p video but i will settle for 720p depending on other features i am new to camera technology so im not sure exactly what im looking for but i dont consider myself an amateur photographer my grandmother is pretty much a pro and i have learned a lot from her right now im leaning toward the lumix dmc-lx5 but i was wondering what you guys thought or if there was any camera people on here with any advise thanks guys
