  1. Talked to the guy and figured out a price, that may be the route I go if I cannot find anyone closer then Georgia.
  2. Ya I was debating 15s aswell, but I think 18s will win once I get the funds for em, we'll see, if things chance within the next couple weeks I'll let you know. Thanks.
  3. Basically I need someone to build a box for 2x 18s to fit in a 03 Dodge Durango. I can give dimensions but since the box will be pretty big I need someone close enough that it can be picked up. I can meet you halfway or whatever is necessary. I'd prefer to have someone just help me build a box but be there in person. I don't have the tools to do it all myself and would like someone whos experienced to help me build my first big box. I'm concerned with bracing and everything so having a pro there to help would be more then helpful. I'll buy materials just want to make sure it's done right. Now if someone wants to just do it all themselves I could handle that but would atleast like to watch and learn. Let me know and we can discuss details. Thanks.
  4. haha I really want 18s. just debating if I have room width wise.
  5. ya I was looking at Steve's tahoe compared to the durango and I could make the box deeper but I dont see 4 18s fitting comfortably, I still may go with 2 18s if possible but think 4 15s would be the better choice after displacement etc. Either way, it was just future planning, I was either getting 2 15s, or 2 18s for now, but was depending on the future upgrade and maybe save some cash.
  6. I've always had heat issues with my audiobahn amp. Only drawback I remember from when I was 16.
  7. http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/p_13508_Audiobahn_A1500HCT.aspx This is just one of many.
  8. If someone could jus tell me what they think about if id be better off room wise with 4 - 15s or 4 - 18s in the future, That'd be all i need. Thanks.
  9. Get ready for a novel. Sorry. Just a heads up i intend on buying a better battery/alt and doing the big 3 to back up my system but just doing a lot of research currently before I get the comments to make sure I have the electrical, just letting you kno I am thinking about it aswell. So basically I'm planning out what i want to do when I get some cash to use. I've been saving and for the moment i only have like 800-1k I can spend some I'm going to continue planning. I want either DC 15s or 18s. I'm 95% sure I'm going to go with the AQ2200 for the subs so I'm planning on atleast the lvl4s, possibly the Xls to ease the upgrade if i ever decide to. I think the Xls would sound pretty good with a little under rated power from the amp but maybe I'd be better off going with lvl4s or possibly even lvl4s with better coils. I'm debating on which would sound better for music in my daily driver. I want lows but still some SPL. So i guess im in the middle I planned on the box tuning to be like 32-35. I drive an 03 Durango. I went out and measured the room i have and it came out to roughly 45 in x 44.75 in x 20in. 20 being the height of my back seats because I do not want to wall it off but could go a little higher if needed. I figured i have about 23.31 cubic ft(Check my math?) Which at first I will only be running 2 subs, which i have plenty of room for but i was worried about if in the future i want to upgrade. If i can get 4 18s in there later on i'll get 2x 18s for now and then when i upgrade itll save me a little cash but if not i have no problem going with 15s but rather have 18s because well its 18s. If i did the math right that leaves me with 5.827 cubic ft per sub before displacement etc. According to DC's specs for a ported box it suggests 3-5 for the 15 and 5-8 for the 18. I don't want to be suffocating the 18s though. I dont fully understand all the xmax etc stuff, but im reading about it to figure out if i have enough. Those numbers say I do but its real tight. So basically i wrote all to ask if i have room for 18s to get low and sound great comfortably? Sorry again for the novel. Post links, tell me im wrong, whatever you feel you need to do to help me out. Thanks guys, appreciate it. 10. Talked to a few people interested and thought I had a deal goin but guy stopped responding, Still looking for alil help. Thanks.

  12. It's the older one if you mean compared to the newer Durangos as in 2004 and on. I was told by a rep from Qlogic I think that there were interior modifications made to the Durango around 2001. Hence why they only have kick panels made for up to the 2000. I asked if modifications could be made to make they fit and got the reply "Sorry, but when I asked the engineer this question, he responded with a flat out No it will not work." Which leaves me where I am now. But just so theres no confusion this is my body style.
  13. For lack of a better way of putting it, how will they look "unfinished". Just the fiberglass look or painted? Anyone local you know have a 03 Durango you could look at?
  14. Still interested in someone making these for me. Probable would be better if someone in PA near Pittsburgh would be able to for lower shipping and possible even seeing my Durango for a fitting, but if anyones up just name your price.
  15. I would never recommend a prebuilt Dell to anyone looking for an overall good computer but for your budget and needs I'd say go that way.
  16. Ya i really dont have the time or resources to make them myself..which is why i was hopin the QLogics would of fit..was ready to order and then found that out.
  17. So the tutorials are misleading lol
  18. Ya the q logic kicks would be much easier but they dont make it for my model durango..they only make up to an 00 and i have an 03. Is the expense of making them yourself really that much more than ordering from qlogic? Besides the fact that the ones you make would be potentially stronger..Qlogic sells them for around 200. Idk how much it would cost to make them yourself.
  19. I'm looking for someone who can make me some kick panels(like Qlogic makes) to house a 6.5 midbass and a tweeter and maybe mount the xover aswell. The components are the RF Power T1652-S. Before I get told to make it myself I don't have the tools/or time required to do this job currently and won't until xmas break. I cannot wait that long and would like to find someone experienced in fiberglassing to make these for me. PM me if you may be interested and we can work out details then.
  20. I've wondered this numerous times and just didnt ask.. Maybe ill make small boxes for my 6.5s if room allows me to keep a stock look with good sound.
