maybe one of the fins in your torque converter could have broken. or your fly wheel/ flex plate could have broken somewhere.

did you have a chance to see were your oil pressure was at?

unless one of the bearings burnt up, and the crankshaft became unbalanced it could have snapped or at least warped.

it shouldn't be to much to fix. just a crank and new bearings, if nothing got messed up when it split.

yea that does make sense, but this was just to cut the hole and put the boot in and thats it. i would understand if it was to cut everything, make the box, and get it all together but idk. I would say do it yourself if you think your quoted to much.
