  4. I think it is too streaky. almost looks like a skunk
  5. i like the box. the ring that comes out of the box looks cool
  6. Hmm good point. I think you may be right about the remote turn on/illumination wire. My headlight switch also turns on the dash and interior lights. I am going to recheck everything. I have the wiring diagram for the hu and for my trucks factory radio. I will make sure it is matched up.
  7. The antenna thing didnt work. I think somehow a wire is getting power when i turn the headlights on. This in turn, is powering on the remote turn ons for the amps
  8. haha. not bad. I wish my truck would do that
  9. I would really like to see the pictures!
  10. Did you happen to find any box specs for the hcca? I have a 10" and i cant find box specs anywhere

  12. yea. thats the guy that has the dodge neon and the roof caves in and the winshield breaks from the pressure. in that video, you can kinda see the roof flexing down ^^
  13. And the deck is a alpine cda-9805
  14. I did not use a wiring harness because I was cheap, but Im pretty sure i did not mess the wiring up because then i dont think it would work in cd & aux mode. But I will try disconnecting the antenna tomorrow.
  15. ok, this has me stumped. When the head unit is in radio mode, neither one of my amps are on (same REM turn on wire) but then, if i turn my headlight switch on, both amps will turn on and work fine. Basically {headlights on--amp on}---{headlights off---amp off} WTF!!! (btw its a 93 chevy silverado 350 4X4) It only does this in radio mode. CD and AUX work fine and it doesnt matter if the headlight switch is on or off. The only thing I can think of is the ground power is running throught the headlight circuit? I have upgraded my batt-frame wire to 4 gauge and all the other grounds are good. ANY IDEAS what the heck is going on??!
  16. looks nice. i'd make a screen to protect the speakers tho.
