What age did you move out?
dyeagain15 replied to meade916's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
I'm 20 and still live with my rents, been working at a real job since i was 14, did a lot of other stuff before that like mow lawns, baby sit etc. Now I'm paying my own way through automotive school, looking to graduate next year and hopefully move in with my gf and work until i can claim residence long enough to get a scholarship to start my four year there. I get along great with my parents and I work to buy my toys but also to keep my truck up and running and in good shape so I don't need to come to them for money. I try to ask for as little as I can from them but they do help when it's needed. My dad was laid off a couple years ago when his company switched owners after we had plans to move so he could take up his promotion, so we were stuff with a lot of problems and no income except for my moms check. Luckily he started his own business from home and we're back on our feet again. -
POP/Noise through stereo
dyeagain15 replied to PUNKYOU007's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
Well like a lot of those things are ran through a relay, which makes me believe my memory is right. I drive an f150 and its the same way, except i dont get the whine, thats def the headunit, just like with pioneers. -

I have the same pop problem, cant figure out what it is, but it only does it sometimes....one of my automotive teachers explained this to our class one time, wish i could really remember what it was. Somethings telling me it was a relay issue, but dont hold me to that. -

Thats a hell of an idea, good job! -
Just a shot in the dark besides the obvious, like in my truck theres a battery fuse block or some shit up on the firewall in the engine compartment which is behind my glove box, not saying thats it, but could be a place to look if everything else fails.

What about Quarantine? That move wasnt so bad except for the shaky ass POV look on it, kinda gay I must admit, but realistic none the less. Either way, I'll be that guy living on the roof with a cooler of beer, sniper rifle, cowboy hat, loud music, and enough supplies to last me a year. I'm thinking a Sam's Club or Wal-Mart. Kind of like the sniper from resident evil 2 except cowboy hat for shits and grins

Introduce Yourself

Hey, I'm justin, I'm from KC Missouri, and my buddy showed me this site, so now I'm addicted lots of good info on here. Nice to meet everyone! -
A tahoe with 98K on will not need very much maintanance outside of a tune up, which would cost about eighty dollars for plugs and wires and some patience. I have a truck thats at 180k and i havent had a problem with it yet. Take the hoe, newer cars will cost more to work on, a 98 will be easy as hell to keep up. Gas mileage would be nice, dont get me wrong, but if you take care of the hoe, it will def take care of you.

Or ask to demo it for him and play "fuck the police" by bone-thugs-n-harmony. Just saying... -
Well, there's an f150 in the town where i live, it looks like te bottom portion of the the lightning front end, that bolts on (correctly, not rigged on) that looks extremely good. I'm looking to get rid of the plastic look, and get more of the fiberglass, painted look. Appreciate the idea though bud, might look into that later
