  1. just got the VLC, and i like that one best. the windows player isnt FULL full screen. i see a little box for the movie. VLC fills the screen completely, and has sound. so i'm happy with that one. thanks guys x2 on fewer problems. but what can ya do? i'm finally glad i got a solution lol
  2. lol it should. but knowing microsoft...you'd have to spend the extra cash on the 'premium' edition to get it. like vista basic only sees 1 gig of ram on the system, and you gotta get the premium version to see more. meh...
  3. yep that was it. didnt know i needed a dvd decoder to get sound. but got one from microsoft. thanks
  4. make sure to clean clean clean the lights too. lil rubbing alcohol, and wait for it to completely dry. getting bubbles after you do it would suck so much ass.
  5. i played mine at medium volume. about normal listening volume, maybe a little louder. then i put everything on full blast after i was satisfied
  6. hmmm...i'll check into that when i get back home
  7. very small touch but will make it look a lot cleaner. nice job so far
  8. fuckin thieves. if someone ever breaks into my shit i hope i catch em in the act
  9. when i try to play a dvd on my PC, it plays, but the only player i get sound out of is a program called power DVD. no other program. not even windows media player. you're probably thinkin 'well use power DVD'. i would...except no matter how many times i click, the captions STAY on. which i find annoying. and secondly, the resolution is choppy. not as nice and sharp compared to windows media. so how do i get the sound to work on windows media player? i uninstalled power DVD already. am i just missin somethin simple?
  10. i break mine in just for security purposes. i feel safer if i do lol. but just for a few days to a week. and i didnt know that about the glue. i think i read it somewhere but forgot. i smelled a smell at first but yeah it's gone now. cranked up for long periods, no smell, no warm components
  11. pics or it never happened!!
  12. thanks! damn...half the power i got and moves more air from the looks of it
  13. daaaaamn makes me wanna put mine in a wall
  14. that's a nice setup. what kind of equalizer is that?
  15. try lookin up some used ones? ebay or somethin? for the 07 models.
  16. if you have a wall of the enclosure to help act as a side of the port, the subs will still 'think' that the port is longer since it's using one of the walls. that's what the speaker 'sees'
  17. i think i read in a forum that they can handle a little more (obviously) but it's kinda like 'voiding the warranty' (even tho there isnt one for the BTL). they still recommend 2k RMS tho EDIT: copied this from the link from smokin. about the SPL/daily option Daily or SPL: Simply put, if you plan on listening to any type of music you MUST choose the daily option. If it is strictly for a fart/burp scenario then choose the SPL option. The reason we have these options is the gap tolerances between the two are different. The gap in the SPL woofer is much tighter and FAR less forgiving in comparison to the Daily option. The Daily option simply gives the coil more wiggle room inside of the gap to deal with the non-linearity tendancys that you can get into when you are using a sub in a daily driving scenario. Typically SPL applications deal with 1 note and it does not change, therefore we can make the gap much tighter and get all of the motor strength that we can out of it.
  18. i think that video is sped up a little. so a little more than a minute. yet...it still KICKS ASS! that's some skill right there. didnt know wtf he was doin till i saw the sun setting.
  19. more explosions please
  20. maroon and white look good together, but with you going with a red like that, silver will make it so damn sexy. the contrast is delicious together. /vote blood red
  21. this is a good post. i was always kinda curious. had a feeling i was doing it the wrong way. but i have an old router, so i cant adjust how deep i go. so making several cuts would all be uneven instead of flush. BUT maybe one day i'll go out and buy a new nice router. with a jig and all
  22. very good site there. i bought the amp repair tutorial dvd. havent really been able to sit down and read it tho
